Interesting take by Ian on McD's lack of interviews. Not sure I buy it, but maybe.

Yeah I think that his reneging on the Indy job has absolutely soured some teams on him, especially those close to Irsay & Ballard...

I agree. I also agree that he's only going to leave if it's a 100% perfect no-brainer scenario.

I find the Culley firing just after Flores becomes available an interesting coincidence.

Here is the problem the Pats have when the don't give coaches titles, Flores could come in and make Mayo his DC, and because he doesn't have that title in NE, it would be considered a promotion, hence the Pats can't block it, or get any compensation (from Houston) for him.

Of course, if the above does happen, the Pats will most likely lose Mayo's brother from the Strength and Conditioning staff too.
It Mayo was made DC in Houston it would be a promotion. He is not solely in charge of the defense in New England.

I would add Ozzie Newsome to the group of successful GM’s, he started out under Belichick in Cleveland
Jesus massive oversight

I'm not in favor of brining back all the failed HC's from under BB's wings.
We have JMD and Matty P already. We don't need Flores and Judge back.
Flores seems to have too big a chip to "demote" himself, and Judge is just a wack-job.
We'll see how it plays out with Patricia this offseason. But he was a pretty good DC here.

When all is said and done, the most successful BB-tree coach might be the one who never coached under him - Vrabel.
how ironic.

I would like to see Flores go to Houston, I’m really concerned Caserio is after MacDaniels, and replacing MacDaniels could really hurt Jones development.

If any Patriot assistant deserves the axe it’s Cam Achord, this was the worst ST performance I can remember.
Yes he has to be on the hot seat.
He also hasn’t been here long so there isn’t a lot of history.
34 years old and came here directly from college.
May need to save his @ss in the post season.

All Mac needs is a vacation, a QB coach and a trainer.

No question.

Agree the ST unit has had it's problems.

Although I do recall STs being a bit shaky the year after Scotty O'Brian retired and Judge took over.

I can't recall BB ever demoting/firing a (fairly young) coach under contract. Ever. He's not out to kill careers...

Maybe Judge comes back as a consultant and Cam is put on a quasi performance plan so to speak. I dunno.....

new firing today... and its not a surprise... Raiders canned Mike Mayock...

He really made some baffling picks, especially in the first round... Clelin Ferrell at number 4 overall was a real head scratcher

About time Mayok was fired. Worst GM in football.

The Ferrell pick was all Gruden. He sent home the front office/coaching staff the day prior so it wouldn’t get leaked who he was taking. Embarrassing pick.

Yeah once Gruden left, the writing was on the wall for Mayock too... With not enough good high-round picks, he made Bill look almost competent by comparison.

Lmao, Bill has made mistakes, but full ****** doesn't apply.
You guys think you're So smart..
It's adorable.

Although not all his fault, I don't think anyone could survive having two first round picks in the teens, and a year later you have to cut both of them.

Ruggs was taken 12th overall (he killed a woman) and Arnette 19th (threatened to kill someone while brandishing a gun)

Plus he reached for Leatherwood as a LT at 17th last year, and they had to move him to RG (and he is still struggling there).

Does he get his job back at the NFL Network as a draft "expert" after failing so miserably as a GM?
