OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I'm not referring to "game manager" in the pejorative sense. I'm referring to it in the best sense. No need to go crazy with the throws. Just keep the clock going, move the chains, and know when to fight another day.

To this day, he still does that as well as, or better, than every other QB in the league.
I am not sure why the term "game manager" got this negative connotation. But the QBs job is to win the game and it really is Brady's best attribute. He understands game situations and what is needed better than QB who has ever played the game. He also manages his teammates as well understanding how to throw the ball so they avoid bone jarring hits. He really is a master back there lining everyone up, reading the defense and making the adjustments at the line. I would love for someone to ask Leftwich how many times Brady checks out of a bad play into a good play based on the defensive look. I bet it is over 50 percent every game.

are the eagles a shot of making a big upset this weekend?
I’ve been really impressed re: Tampa’s offense the last two weeks hopefully they’ll continue to fire
Anything is possible but Eagles went 0-6 against the playoff teams. Bucs went 4-1 against playoff teams. Bucs are a different team at home. If they can score 30, they win.

I think Porksley is banned from this thread. If so, bravo to the mods. Hopefully the all-forum ban is coming next. It's what's best for the big P...he needs to take some time off to take care of his mental health.
He has been banned from this thread. We should try to keep all Tampa/Brady info to this thread so we can enjoy the peace.

Yes - let's be sure to move all MVP discussion into this thread only. Unfortunately, the the Big P will need to just read all this pro-Brady data and punch the air as he's powerless to do anything except post in a thread no one will read. Last I saw, he claimed that QB Wins are a real stat, after spending a year saying they aren't a real stat. Well, glad that's over with...hopefully he can connect with some old, washed up Colts/Steelers fans who went underground in 2016.

But Bucs also struggled against non-playoff teams. They lost 3 to non-playoff teams and recently struggled against the Jets and Panthers for a half. They really need a fast start against the WFT.

The defense struggles against everyone minus 1-3 games. They need to start fast in the upcoming games should they win against Philly. They can beat the Eagles a number of different ways but to beat the other top NFC teams the offense can't take the usual 1-2 drives to try and see what the defense is doing. It's going to be circa 2018 where you take the ball down the first on opening drive and at least tire the D a bit and get 3. 3 and outs on the first drives put too much pressure on that loose D.

These stats are just mind blowing. Florio got the TDs wrong. Brady has 83 not 73. He threw 10 last year. Also, it is interesting that no QB has passed Montana's win total for the post-season and yet Brady has more than doubled him. Also, was thinking about Rodgers having one less game this year with the bye. He is second with TD passes but gets one less game this year than Brady potentially.

I clicked on the link and Florio popped up as well. He stated that the over/under for Rodgers wiinng the MVP is 44. That is a huge lead. I've got to think that it is insurmountable. Might as well give the MVP to Rodgers today.

But man a pissed of Brady is a SB winning Brady.

What does 44 mean? 44 votes?

LOL. AB trying to get signed. I think he has realized that pissing all over the GOAT has made his suitors zero.

I don't know didn't his agent say he's having surgery on the 18th or something? I suppose that could also be BS.

I'm not sure. It is interesting that he is back peddling. To do what he did on the field with the Bucs trailing by 14 has to make teams extremely leery of him. His performance on the field was never questioned just his childish behavior off of it. What he did IMO was a game changer. It also does not help that he needs ankle surgery and will be 34 this summer.

Yeah, the betting is whether Rodgers will get more or less than 44 of the 50 votes.

For Vegas to put such a high number, they must have talked to the voters.

That's a shame, a real robbing. Oh well. I am glad that so many folks the last week or so have vouched strongly for Brady. I am still holding out hope for a split.

I think this is the year that’s going to convince me to stop using awards when comparing and ranking quarterbacks (also NBA too I guess)

Watch it be 45 Rodgers and 5 Taylor or some s.hit

Rodgers has a recent history of coming up with a choke job under the pressure of the playoffs. Him winning all these MVPs and awards while choking in the playoffs will just add more pressure on him to not choke again.

I think Rob Parker hacked his account...it's strange how a person can do a total 180 on a athlete he was a fan of. For godsake he had TommyBrady12 as his username.

Lol...that is the very least of the problems. Had he just come out after the game and said he lost his temper, that's one thing. But he didn't mention what happened after throwing his pads: leaving the stadium, not returning with the team, going on every talk show possible to milk his final 15 minutes of fame by throwing everyone under the bus, probably lying about multiple things, calling himself the #1 option, dissing Brady, and the entire instagam whore incident.
