Not sure if it's the same knee?Hasn't he already been on the injury report several weeks with a knee problem? I'm wondering if that was made worse.
If it's not structural and can't be damaged any further he should play.If Barmore escapes a major injury, I’d shut him down for sure no matter how he says he feels during the week.
Very out of character for Reiss. Unless he knows it's an ACL and the team is feeding Rapoport **** to keep BUF honest that would be the only explanation for Mike to be jumping the gun with the speculationThis was my initial thought as well. It looked like a blunt, bone-on-bone impact, and not a flailing limb where ligaments were compromised. That said, I didn't get a great look at the play and I'm not a doctor. I'd be curious what Rapoport's report is based on, just the x-ray, or additional information. The MRI will finalize the diagnosis, obviously ... fingers crossed it's bruising. If there is a ligament issue, I'll hold out hope for an MCL that doesn't involve the ACL, because those are relatively easy to come back from and shouldn't pose a massive issue from a rehab/future development perspective.
I also have to say that I'm rather disappointed with Reiss' reporting on the matter. Perhaps he has additional information, but if he basing his reaction solely on Barmore's emotional state, I think he went too far in implying (if not explicitly saying) that this is a serious/long-term issue. He should know better than that. (If it turns out he has medical details, then fair enough, but that wasn't the sense I got based on his reporting and as far as we know an MRI hasn't been performed yet).

Quoting Bob Lobel. Well done.I think that he was mostly reacting to Barmore more being very emotional, which usually indicates that the player either knows himself right away that the injury is serious or has been told by the doctors that the injury is serious, based upon initial physical exam and initial radiology testing.
It is entirely possible that Reiss jumped the gun and got fooled the emotions of a young player who was scared that he had suffered his first major injury, along with the fact (of course) that he seemingly could not put any weight on the leg. I hope so.
If so, given his overall stellar track record not overreacting, I’ll give him a mulligan on this one. On the other hand BB could be playing games, not wanting to tip his hand with regard to the two injuries, until it is absolutely necessary.
I'm sure glad that the Ignoroid Omissioner upped the season to 17 games...after all, the owners need more money to buttress their meager multi-billion dollar investments. I sure hope ol' Rog the Scumbag Lying Azzole of the Century ups next season to eighteen games...you know, for the "integrita!!!" of the game.
You are so cynical! They'll go to 18 games as a sympathetic gesture to the millions of Americans with OCD. The NFL only cares about its fans.

It is both infuriating and fitting that may have been Joejuan’s last play as a Pat….takes a poor angle, too slow to make the play and ends up seriously injuring a teammate who has been critical to the Patriots success this year.
