Antonio Brown accuses Bucs of wanting him to play on injured ankle (update: finally released)

And all they got out of it was another ring. Fools.
We can all say that now, given that he blew up this year rather than last.

As for this year, the injuries are stacking up and they pushed a lot of money into next season trying to keep the band together for one more run.

2022 will be a great reckoning, especially if Brady decides he's done.

If he plays in 2022, they still get to deal with the $24M dead cap number in 2023 due to the three voidable years 2023-5.

The window is closing fast.

Their depth is pretty strong all around. They're going to lose pieces sure, but if they manage to keep Godwin and C. Davis they're still looking good with Brady at the helm. Bucs draft well too Joe Tyron is a stud. I get your point though eventually this will blow up

Every NFL team eventually blows up and needs to face the cap music. Some more frequently than others.

From afar Licht, Arians, TB12 and the Glazers did nothing wrong. They had some decent drafts. They paid the right core people long-term deals and once that was in place they acquired some key FAs. Oh well.

The result is they won a Super Bowl and the franchise valuation went up ~$660m. Mission accomplished and then some.

Looks like AB has shot his wad, again.

By tomorrow night this new cycle will be dead, it'll be on the the playoffs and no one will care about AB in the least.

I’d let Godwin walk after that ACL injury. Davis is terrible. Let him walk.

Agree, they have pulled it off, and plenty of teams would be happy to be where Tampa is now even if it means a few years of cap hell and rebuilding.

Yet it's hard for me to see all those aging/injured players performing at a level to bring a 2nd SB to this run, and then they are in the dicey "a year too soon or a year too late" phase this off season. Godwin coming off an ACL yet wanting big FA money? An oft-injured Fournette? Gronk getting slower each year? BA willing to keep postponing retirement? Brady going through cold spells and destroying tablets? Not the worst set of problems to have, but still...

It was already worth it. They won a SB. Whether they scrap it and start over in 1,2,6 etc years any moves that get a ring you wouldn’t have otherwise won are worth it. There is 1 goal.

If Brady is a FA, he should hold the Bucs hostage and have them sign who he wants before returning. But I think he should move on to another team.

My belief is TB and TB12 still have one more elite year left in them. We'll see.

listened to as much of the podcast as i could before i felt the need to pull my face off. AB is an interesting character and no mistake.

Yeah, we need to get back to the covid/vaxx issue before the scientists declare themselves winners!

**** it, Ill share a Carnival tidbit., The perpetrator shall not referenced with his real name. Lets call this person.... May. Yes.

Peeing in Carnival is hard. If you are a good person (this will be funny later), at least. So peeing in streets, bushes, buses, beach, corners, etc is not okay. The water in the beach is fine, but we all know what you are doing there. Also, chemical bathrooms r all around town, but they wont ever be enough.

The setting:

The "Street Parties" (Blocos) happen literally everywhere, around residential zones. These stories happened around Ipanema and Leblon, the richest zones in Rio de Janeiro (and Brazil, still, maybe),with buildings sometime 20 floors high, sometimes full residential blocs. with gated fences, all those rich properties you can think of.

May here found a nice way to circumvent the peeing problem. Everytime he felt the beer, and cachaça, and honey with cachaça, and vodka was at bursting point, he would walk to one of these gates. Now, there is always a doorman there. He is fed up with life cause he is working in Carnival. So May would literally jingle jangle his key in front of interbox (No matter if there was cameras or not) and say "Im from ap 302, bloc 2" drunkly.

May tresspassed in well over 40 buildings in his life. Well over. May peed in the bathrooms, yes. Most of the times. But sometimes... well, its hard to find bathrooms in different building all the time. So May also peed on garages, playground, pools. Once, I heard and its an unfortunate testment of how low the debuchery gets in Carnival, May peed on the doorstep of one of the most expenive penthouses in Rio. Just absurd.

Also, May used these tresspassings to literally take advantage their facilites to his pleasure. May even literally started to traffic girls he found pretty, that were walking in the street, to inside these buildings. The method? "Come on up, theres is a party up here". There was never a party.

Some say that May is more than one person. Some say that May is just a legend, an urban myth. Maybe even just a liar.

But the stain of pee in that penthouse door. That might still be there
I always thought that was a Vasco jersey on MAC in your avatar...now I know it is.

Ola - sou Portugues.

He's definitely signed for next year. The only way he becomes a FA is if the Bucs release him, which they won't do because that'd create a huge smoking hole in their cap and leave them with no one but Blane Gabbert to play QB. Because of this, they pray he doesn't decide to retire, which I doubt he will. Till then, they have plenty of Microsoft Surface tablets in their store room.

He's right that no one can win or perform on their own, but clearly some players are better than others.

Tom Brady needs receivers and blockers.
Zach Wilson needs receivers and blockers.

But that sure don't mean Brady and Wilson are on the same talent level.

"Oh, but I'm special!" Makes me wretch every time. Whoever wrote that commercial should be tarred and feathered.
That line always make me cringe.

Didn’t know he extended it by one year.
