OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Brady also needs 477 yards to break Peyton Manning's season yardage record. He's already gone over 400 three times this year so even if it's unlikely it's definitely not out of reach. If he does that how could he not get MVP.

I still think the Bucs have a really good shot to repeat too so MVP and repeat champ in the same year? Amazing. And well deserved.
Before AB went crazy I would agree with you. Now it will take some Brady magic, defense to step up, and Leftwich to have some creativity..I can count on the Brady magic the rest who knows

Yeah I predicted last year in December they weren't losing another game. Not as confident about that now partly because of the injuries and their run defense hasn't been as good lately. But not counting out the GOAT.

It's not often that a team can overcome injuries to win the SB. Anyone recall the last SB team that won it with key players missing?

The Patriots had key injuries on most of the years where they didn't make it to the SB. A major reason, why they did not repeat again is they seemed to get the injury bug the year after going to SB.

Pats in 2016 without Gronk?

It's way beyond football now. It's unscripted juicy reality TV at its worst.
It's also completely distracting fans from the spectacular comeback by Brady vs the Jets. I think I've seen less than a handful of posts about the actual game and dozens of pages on ABs antics. Maybe juicy reality TV is what football fans want. I know that I don't.

The Pats have the record for most players injured/IR to win the SB for both the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Remember Brown playing CB in the SB. LOL

In contrast, the Pats team that beat the Rams to win their last SB was really pretty healthy. Yeah, Gronk was pretty banged up, but he was still an exceptional blocker in the run game and could still get down field to make a big catch or two.

IF, as is possible, AB infected Bucs personnel with Covid as a result of his protocol defying romp with that skank I'll be Wicked Pissed.

First of all I doubt they’re even testing anymore. Second they’ll be fine by next week anyway.

No, done as in done. Career ending sadly. If that wasn't the case I think JE probably would join them.
I believe Jules when he retired saying New England Forever. He did not have to say that. He made a big deal about it.
A mute (Heh, moot) point in that I agree that the serious bone on bone is a career ender and could be a Big quality of post football life issue.
Also, the Squirrel is saying that he and TFB are having a tiff.

Although peak Gronk is a huge loss, I don't think they had too many other injuries that year. It could be the 2003/2004 Pat's as someone pointed out that was the last team to win a SB with lots of injuries.

They'll be fine whatever rift they're going through.

I do remember the 2010 Packers having like 13 players on IR that year!

Probably a case of the old BFF getting jealous of Brady's new BFF plus Gronk. Don't know where Brady finds the time to have so many friends and connections.

On the ManningCast Brady said that Jules spent his whole career trying to be like Welker. It was said in jest but wonder if it opened a wound maybe.

But I agree about Gronk. It had to kill Jules watching Brady and Gronk win that SB together while he was on IR and his team went 7-9. Pretty crappy way for his career to end with awful Newton at QB.

Rodgers and Mahomes could never
That stat is absolutely unreal. Say what you want about having "weaponz" in Tampa but it is obvious Brady made the best decision of his career to go to Tampa and play in Arians offense. These past 2 seasons have been the best back to back seasons of his career.
