OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

What are you talking about? Brady had 1 minute when he got the ball last in SB 46. And in SB 42, he had 29 seconds to move the ball 45 yards to get into Ghost's range, with 3 TOs - tough but doable.
As I said, 7 superbowls, meh 9 is impressive right? Who in their right mind *****es at a QB who wins 7 superbowls because they didnt win 9? I mean who in the hell is even good to you if 7 superbowls is decent. What is your criteria exactly?

He's a lying sack of dung. The 43 fourth quarter comebacks do not include the postseason, which makes it 52. The list is right here.

I mean trashing a QB who has won almost twice as many superbowls as the 2nd best of all time because he didnt win 9 and only won 7. lol. I have now seen it all. No Qb ever will reach the expectations he has.

he's just trolling.

Why would you troll your own teams board?
He is just a troll, he doesn’t really support the patriots. He support DC teams.

I wonder if we’ll get anything interesting out of Brady’s podcast tonight. Obviously he won’t ever throw AB under the bus and will be coy but I think the way he frames his approach will be telling.

I don't question his Patriots fandom and frankly he's a pretty decent poster in my opinion. Just really weird the anti Brady stance he has

Watched the last drive again. It’s the Jets, but I really like what I saw from Grayson, and to some degree Perriman too. It’s strange that it came to this because the Bucs supposedly had all that depth. But Miller, Howard, and obviously AB have all seemingly washed out. Brate somewhat too.

The Bucs won’t be able to rely on the big play and will need to run the ball in the playoffs. They don’t have the skill players to consistently strike and will need to chip away and use playaction.

I don’t know if they can pull this off. But I do think teams will struggle if the Bucs can establish the run with Gronkowski. I’ve often wondered if the Patriots would use that pony formation (example, both White and Burkhead on the field) and I wonder if the Bucs would use it as well if they have Fournette, Vaughn, Bernard, and Bell, or at least three of those guys healthy. Jones is still a very good running back if asked only to run up the middle and power through the line. Without Brown, Godwin, and Miller, they lose 75% of their deep threats and need to adapt.

But I think their dominant offensive line, plus mauler Gronk, and having Evans take the top off the defense, is a formula for a short amoeba passing game with 3-4 competent/limited receivers consistently getting those 7-10 yard targets. We’ve seen Brady do it before. They need to work from the inside out. They need to basically copy what the Packers are doing.
What do you think about Bell? Is he still an effective runner? I dont remember seeing anything that stood out yesterday but he is another option to throw to.

He's the Rob Parker of the forum. You're wasting your time replying to that incel troll. Troll isn't interested in honest debate. That incel jerks off everytime one of you reply to him. Picture that in your mind everytime you have the urge to reply to his b*tch ass nonsense.

I don’t know. I don’t go in the main forum often these days. It has become the Bill Belichick fan club forum where you are called a fake fan if you still like Brady or critic his highness. I don’t have any pleasure posting there anymore. That could change in the futur though

He looked slow, but he knows how to get open out if the backfield

He's still learning the playbook. He said he should be good to go after another week of practice. At this point he's just another body on a depleted rb room with good hands.

Silver lining in the AB drama is with this happening you would have to think that now Godwin becomes top priority to resign. Of course I'd rather see him in a Pats uniform, but hard to see Tampa letting him go now.

I think he's a reliable pass catcher who has good hands. Teams that want to use him as a three down back are just being dumb; he's slow and has no business running the ball. But if he can get open in space on a designed play then sure, he can catch the ball and make a linebacker miss. He's a better option than Jones and more experienced than Vaughn. If Bernard isn't coming back/Fournette isn't going to be healthy, it's probably worth keeping him around.

Do you root for the Saints to win? If they win, they can only get the #7 seed, and this means the Rams are #2 (Rams need to beat the 49ers for the Saints to get in.)

This would mean:
Saints at Rams in Round One
Eagles at Bucs in Round One

I think the Saints are the team that no one wants to play...not just the Bucs. That defense can lock down any team. If the Saints beat the Rams, they'd go to Lambeau (they beat the Packers 38-3). The Bucs, if they beat the Eagles, would host the Cardinals or Cowboys.

The only downside to this scenario is if the Rams and Bucs both win in round one, the game is in LA instead of TB.

There is absolutely 0 chance that Bill will pay 18+ million on a wr with the defense to rebuild

He is but he has some real all stars up front. But also hot heads too. The 15 yard penalties have to be driving him nuts!
Putting them in 3rd and 20's and brady fixes the mess.
