McDaniels would be a good fit and would be excellent for Lawrence’s development. Unfortunately for the Jags, I doubt he’s going to want to report to a snake like Baalke.
I don’t think the majority of our candidates will want to work with baalke. Meaning we’re just gonna end up hiring some pathetic yes man who is desperate for a job as coach

As long as the Pats win next week, they will get into the playoffs even if they lose to miami the following week. Unless something major happens, the pats are going to get the 6th seed and a trip to Buffalo in the WC. The only way for the Pats to miss the playoffs is if they lose their next two and Miami wins their next two or a few other crazy things. I just can't see Tennessee losing to Miami next week.
That’s the big one. Tennessee is better than Miami and Vrabel will know Flores’ tendencies as well as he knows Belichick’s. If Miami can pull off the upset though…..

If the Pats win and the Dolphins lose next week, the Pats pretty much clinch a playoff spot. However, if the Pats and Dolphins both win, and then the Pats lose to Miami the week after, it sets up a scenario where the Pats could be bounced out of the last seed if Vegas wins these next two weeks. With Wentz going into COVID protocol now and missing the game vs Vegas, that is not that unlikely. Still, the Pats control their own fate which is all you can really ask for.

Comes down to @Delicate Genius’s post on page 1. Pats win, and either Miami or the Raiders lose, and they’re in. If they both win, then it comes down to week 18 and Pats would be in if they beat Miami. If they don’t, they’ll still get in if the Raiders lose to the Chargers. If not, then they’re out altogether.

Will add for completeness that if the Pats lose to Jax, they can still make the playoffs but they’ll need more things to work out for them and the odds are against them. However, if they lose at home to the Jags in January with a playoff trip on the line, do they really deserve to make it in?….

The heck with other teams... screw that... it's time for the Pats to start...

The Patriots are expected to place QB Brian Hoyer on the reserve/COVID list today, per a source. Hoyer has been the No. 2 QB behind rookie Mac Jones, with Jarrett Stidham the No. 3. Jones and Stidham have continued with regular preparations for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars.

Is Hoyer vaxxed?

Julio Jones has been a bust for the Titans this year. Even when he plays, he mostly has been invisible. A huge waste of a second round pick.
And about $30 million - EDIT: Scratch that. He can be easily cut next year.

Right on, all we can do is take it one game at a time. Scenarios are so bizarre that we can lose both games and still make the playoffs.

Get a big lead and get the ball to Smith and Harry repeatedly - maybe even activate Asiasi and feed him, too, once (if) the game is in hand.

That's what I'd do, anyway, as I said last year: feed the ball to the guy you're trying to evaluate when it doesn't matter. Build confidence, or make the cut decision easier (although Smith ain't going nowhere).

They won't do that, though. As with last year. Not the way Bill operates.

Would be nice, with your initial description.

I totally see us starting slow with failed red zone opportunities leading to a small lead. We build it to a two-score lead due to Jacksonville blunders, but they'll score late and we'll be on the edge of our seats as we try to hang on. Meanwhile, Miami and Las Vegas pull the road upsets and we'll have another miserable week here.

Looks like Jacksonville are going for retreads for their next head coach. They shouldn't want Bowles or Quinn anywhere near their team especially when they need an offensive minded coach to develop Lawrence before they destroy him for ever.

I don’t like any of those 4… Quinn & Toilet Bowles Movement have already failed; Leftwich is just Brady’s water-carrier, and Kellen Moore looks like Mac did when Mac was a pre-teen model.

Between Jax and Mia somebody’s gonna get blown open watch it happen.
