AJ Brown Cried His Eyes Out. So did I

I get this in hindsight but let's not act like Harry wasn't rated similairly to Brown in pretty much all the draftnik rankings and in some was even considered rated higher than Brown.

People act like Harry was a "wtf who" pick? He really wasn't.

I'm much more annoyed they didn't double dip at WR in that draft when WR was a need. Draft could have easily played out like this.

32- Harry
45- Brown
77- BPA defense
87- Harris
Harry was most definitely a WTF pick there.

Bill has a hard on for guys with height who can post up DBs in the end zone for TDs.

He talked about Christian Fauria in the same way.

Problem was the man among boys in college doesn’t transfer well when the DBs are all bigger, faster, stronger, and have better technique.

It’s almost as if—outside of instagram videos running around in shorts—Harry has not responded to the higher skill level he now faces.

He looks uncaring out there.

If you care to re-watch the second half of the Bills game in Foxboro, Harry doesn’t even bother to put his mouth guard in the whole time.

The message he is sending is clear. Time for Bill to cut loose the player.

“Whenever Jones has thrown at Harry today, nothing good has come of it.”

That basically sums up Harry’s career here.

I don’t like threads like these because AJ Brown was my favorite wr that year. Also liked Isabella so there’s that too.

Harry was embarrassing yesterday, horrible.
Did you see Troy on the sideline right after he dropped it? Head slumped like “I can’t teach this kid.” He sucks. If he hadn’t have been a first round pick, he wouldn’t have even made the team this year.

No, I missed Troys reaction. The dude has had every chance, to me, he looked like it was his first time playing football yesterday. Ill even go as far as saying, that muffed return from the last Bildos game WAS his fault too. I don't want to ever see him on the field again, unless its to block.

Only two more days until Harry makes us all forget about Brown (and the other guys who shall not be named).
Time to release Harry and cut the loss. He is occupying a roster spot that a young player can do no worse than him. I am sick of his negative plays.

Everything looks so difficult with Harry. It's like he fights the ball when it comes to him. Unless he is blocking on a running play he shouldn't be on the field and certainly shouldn't be thrown the ball.

Instead of reveling in the Pats successes, the tendency is to focus on the ones that got away... human nature???

35 teams passed on Deebo Samuel and 50 NFL Teams passed on AJ Brown, but Pats myopia often clouds the view.

Isn't there only 32 teams in the nfl?

These were second round players.. so there were 49 opportunities to draft Brown. Most folks would have understood.

B-U-M.

Put everything technical aside.

I have NEVER seen a more scared WR. Guy wass flat out TERRIFIED of getting hit against the Bills

Guess he's only tough when he has the initiative, met a lot of people like that in life.

I take solace this is the last year we see this mfer out there playing for us. GOOD-BYE

Rookie deals are (typically) 4 year deals. You have one more year of Harry. They aren't going to cut or trade him since he's on a short money contract and would cost the team money to release him.

Maybe...maybe they'll find a trade partner for him but, what are they going to get?

Or Metcalf. Or Sutton. Or Calvin Ridley or DJ Moore with the Wynn pick.

Bentley might haven been the best player Bill selected in that draft class.

There’s too much emphasis on YAC in the NFL today. This isn’t freakin’ Madden. Watch the damn ball until you secure it. Catch it with your hands not your body. These are still fundamentals.

Hopefully trade your bust for someone else's bust. Isabella, Boykin, Arcega-Whiteside, etc. from that same draft class.. I keep rooting for Harry to do something positive, but it is not looking very promising. At this point, JJ Stokes had a bigger impact for the Pats than Harry.

Incorrect

Harry had a hand in a lot of important games for the Pats. Sometimes, he has had a huge impact even. For the opposing team.

Like, the Bills was the latest, but it was not the only one.

Let other fanbase glee over his physical attributes, this guy wouldnt last a day in Rio suburbs. Coward and Stupid is a terrible combination for a football player

Opportunities is different than teams. Understand what you're saying though.

he wasnt...only on that had nkeal close to brown was FO.

but also to be fair, thats irrelevant. We didnt have a need for a WR like marquise brown in our offense vs Harry was a high rated big body contested catch guy. I believe BB was trying to get a gronk like player. Nkeal seems to block well so that part is a plus
Whatever BB was trying to do, it hasn't worked out, in obvious, spectacular fashion, for more than 3 years, and yet we are still stuck with Harry, not only doing nothing, but doing worse than nothing, by dropping easy catches, fumbling, and tipping catchable balls to the other team, that is, when he is able to make it on the field at all. It's maddening to see him out there, and WTF baffling to see him be the FOCUS of the offense in a game against a division rival for first place. Ay Caramba!
