OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

With the Tre White injury - like the Pats the Bucs will also benefit and maybe more. Brady will be attacking that side and they'll feast.

The mods could easily make it so that guy can’t post here. They choose not to.
He/she/it is obviously a troll and I could see that right away. I don't need a mod to tell me that.

Love watching the Saints get crushed. Dallas losing in O.T. was pretty sweet too. Good day for the Bucs.
I was hoping that the Bills and Raiduhs would lose and I didn't care about the Pop Warner game.

Glad that Dallas lost but I can’t stand how penalties can be the biggest part of the game and the refs dictating who wins them:

"Raiders (14 penalties, 110 penalty yards) and Cowboys (14 penalties, 166 penalty yards) combining for 28 penalties and 276 penalty"

This included 4 pass interference calls on the same player all on crucial 3rd downs.

I thought the PI calls were pretty obvious. Did you think some were ticky tac?

I didn't watch the game. That player is going to be public enemy #1 for losing the game. But there are a lot of borderline pass interference that are not called. Were all 4 that egregious that they all had to be called?

They were pretty bad. Lots of grabbing and holding and the last one which was the Raiders last drive the Cowboy DB face guarded the receiver and never turned around. It was a pretty poor game IMO by the Dallas DBs.

That last P.I. on Brown shouldn't have been called. Face guarding hasn't been illegal for a long time.

Really? Did they change the rule on that? It always seems like it is called to me.

Coming from the same guy who puts Belichick's record without Brady in his signature...yeah that's not trolling at all. How about answering this trivia question? What is the only team Brady hasn't thrown a TD nor led multiple TD drives against?

The call was about the contact when the receiver went over the DB's head to try catching the ball, but the DB was pulling back from the contact. The excuse for such a penalty is that the defender should have been looking back for the ball. This wasn't a back shoulder situation, or even a jump ball. What the officials effectively did was reward the Raiders for David Carr making a bad throw.

It is a call that happens way too often.

That is how I saw it. The DB made contact with the receiver as the ball as in the air. I think if he doesn't and he is just running with his back toward the QB then it isn't called. That being said, that ref crew always calls a ton of penalties.

What is Bill's record against Tom as a coach?

Yup the defending super bowl champs beat the Pats on a missed FG. Good for them.

Bucs coach Bruce Arians says only WR Antonio Brown has been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Colts.

Arians said this week he’s hopeful of Brown being in play to return next week in Atlanta.

Arians says Devin White, Mike Evans, Vita Vea all have shown progress recovering from their injuries -- will wait and see how they are in next 48 hours before deciding if they play at Colts.

Nothing yet on Marpet, who was not seen by the media during practice.
