I don't think that's what he meant. And Julian Edelman touched on it as well, the issue would be (IMO) that he's a very popular player and leader and if Mac struggles, it's going to get awkward and some guys may be pissed if Cam isn't playing. I don't think it means Cam would be a douche.

That could well be the case, but it’s hard to know given that he’s never been the back, and I had my bias against him before he came here, as I always saw him as a diva in Carolina. I do think he was a good teammate while he was here as the starter, but he flat out sucked as the QB, and I felt like he was going to be an issue had Belichick not released him.

To get back to the original topic, IBJ was a really talented player in NY, but he’s one of those guys who believes he should be the focal point of the offense, and will b.tch like crazy when he isn’t. Like Brady inthink Jones needs to be in the position to just hit the open man, without demands from the receivers. And while their receiving corps needs to add some high end talent going forward, I think the receivers they have right now allow him to do just that, which is good situation for his development.

I’d like to get him. I just wonder if, at age 29, he’s a big talent upgrade from Agholor or even Bourne. People will laugh, but in what ways is he actually better now than a typical complementary receiver? He no longer has game breaking speed or quickness, and he’s not a big red zone threat. So I see him another WR2/WR3. I don’t know how much that helps them. But certainly an upgrade from Harry.

I’m not sure he has any inside sources either but I don’t mind him, or his podcast. Pretty insightful and middle of the road in his analyses (ie. not a lot of bias coloring what he says/writes). Not a fan of the other guy on his pod, who also is 98.5 web employed.
