Panthers crying about Mac's hold on Burns.

This one is pretty clear and obvious. Poor sportsmanship. Doesn't look good.

So now Mac will get a cheap shot
and it will be OK? That's what I am hearing. They always got to do something so I can't enjoy this game.
Mac took a questionable hit against the Chargers after the whistle blew and we all saw the team's reaction.

No opponent is stupid enough to take a shot at our QB without knowing they're getting their ass kicked hard if they try.

FWIW, Belichick said that he thinks Jones thought Burns had the fumble recovery and was running to try to score. If that is the case, Jones did absolutely nothing wrong other than be mistaken that Burns had the ball.
Yea that's total BS. Jones sees him get up. He had plain view of his hands. Mac was obviously pissed for losing the ball and exacted revenge on the sacker. At least he's got some fire in him, I guess.

Cry me a river.

Give the kid a Steve Grogan seal of approval!

Poor sportsmanship? He grabbed his ankle? Is that illegal as a way of tackling someone?

If Jones is telling the truth and legitimately thought Burns had the ball, there was no poor sportsmanship. Who knows if he is. It does explain why he would grab him by the ankle.

I agree BB is covering for Mac and Mac is playing dumb but he grabbed his ankle and people are assuming malicious intent when all he was trying to do was prevent Burns from recovering the football.

Ball carriers are trained at birth to prevent the opposing player from recovering a fumble.

Poor sportsmanship? He grabbed his ankle? So what?

I can see if he tried to trip him but he didn't.
He grabbed his right ankle with both hands, used his legs to trip his left leg and spun to the left to bring him down. Watch the video.

I believe Jones is lying but his reflex is to prevent a defensive player from recovering the football which is not poor sportsmanship.

...and I do not believe for a second Mac tried to twist/break Burns' ankle.

Dude, it's right there on the Orban tweet from NFL films. He absolutely grabbed, tripped, and twisted to take him down.

I have and I don't buy the bolded.

Burns is 250 and spun and Mac reacted.
I mean if you don't even believe the video, I guess we're done. I doubt anyone else outside of Patsfans will view it the same way. He'll get fined as he should.

Bad move saying that with NFL video out there. Now he looks like a liar.
I dont think it makes him look like a liar. I believe him that he thought Burns had the ball. But, I also believe he tried to trip him, given the video evidence, and should be fined.

I just heard on NFL radio that Mac is bad, bad mac:mad: And the league is definetly looking into the play.o_O I can't recall so much being made of something so minor.
