PostGame Thread Official Post Game Thread- Cowboys beat the Pats

Immediate Postgame Reactions

Alright, someone needs to explain me how is this a thing. Its all becaming more and more bizarre with these press-conferences

We get 2 TEs to be able to run these packages. We run a system where we can plug pieces in different position players in similar plays with the EP system

Im gonna even add: We are one of the few teams with FB on the roster. We even have (or had) 2, counting PS players. We had 5 (Five) Rbs on the roster at one point.

And we have 7 plays on this formation? Like, no man, if this was the Jets doing this stuff we would be laughing, this pathetic, unless Im missing something. ****ing all pre-season was for ****ing what? TC? OffSeason? 5 games before?

It was a package with 2 TEs NKeal Harry and a FB all on the field.
How many plays do you want to run out if that?
Btw if you really think Belichick is going to give an honest answer about the playbook and personnel and play call decisions you haven’t been paying attention.
Let’s hope opponents are as gullible

It depends on whether you are analyzing or cheerleading, IMO. If you're analyzing, and you say something like "That fumble with 2 minutes left cost the team the game" in appropriate context and understanding, that's fine. What we're getting too much of is "But they were just one play away!" when the opponent can say something like "We were just a couple of blown opportunities away from absolutely wiping that team out" with as much, or more, legitimacy.
Well said. You can only use that excuse so much, especially when the other team can use it too.

Saints missed a bunch of field goals and had multiple players still out - they should have won 41 - 13.

Buccaneers dropped catches and Brady overthrow them, and they missed a field goal. They should have won 30-17 (ignoring how depleted their secondary was)

Dallas got screwed out of a 3rd and goal TD, and dak forced a bad pick and they also missed a field goal. Dallas should have scored 44 points on you.

It goes both ways. There's a reason why you are 2-4

I love how they paid a bunch of average at best FA’s but refused to pay Brady and many other great players.

TB12 covered up these problems with his IQ and skill set.

Brady covered BB and JM mistakes. BB can’t draft so has to try and find FA’s every year.

I do like Mac, he’s going to be great.
Thank you.

Why give up on Brady when he just won at age 41?

Just give him a 2+1 type deal and take that risk if he eventually falls off. If you do that, you can probably sign some veterans who want to win for cheap

I feel like high picks usually find themselves around the league somehow. Maybe it's because some team thinks they can make him better. Or desperation.

But it wouldn't shock me if he was out of the league next year.
I'd be surprised if he's not out of the league by the end of this year.
Why are we wasting a roster spot on this bum?

Andy Isabella has played 0.0% of the offensive snaps for the Cardinals. The Harry-for-Isabella trade is years overdue, and it's right there to be made.

Opposing kickers are 11-17 on field goals against the Patriots. Under 65%

There’s no question they’ve gotten at least as many breaks as their opponents.

Cardinals kinda suck at drafting Wide Receiver lately. They made up for it by trading a 2nd round pick for DeAndre Hopkins, while the Patriots traded a 2nd round pick for Mohammad Sanu

Because I watch a lot of ASU ball....(used to be an ASU student) and he was virtually unstoppable in the red zone......

Watch this guy (Also a projected first round WR) and look at how much better he looks on Film than Harry coming out of college. This is the guy who would elevate Mac's numbers to Pro Bowl levels which will translate to more PPG.

But, even if Isabella busts, the Patriots aren't any worse off than they are now. The team needs speed, and it needs a slotWR who's got more quicks. Isabella would, at least theoretically, add the possibility of both.

I would trade Harry for anything, so I would welcome Isabella in a patriots uniform. I do think Bourne can play the slot. Get rid of Nelson, find a Quality outside WR to pair with Meyers and roll with Bourne and Henry on the inside.

I will never complain about a UMass guy....

I would swap Harry for him right now, but we would suffer from a loss in outside blocking...ONE THING Harry does well.

Patriots just spent 80 mil on 4 pass catchers in free agency, they are not taking a receiver in the first round;.
