I make this point all the time. McDaniels has never shown to be able to support a successful 2 TE system. Never.

McDaniels is essentially asking Jonnu to be Dwayne Allen. Primarily block but maybe squeak out for a big play here and there. That is totally assbackwards for the TE that lead the league in YAC last year.

???

Gronk/Bennett

I get this with Mac and the time it takes to mesh, but my biggest gripe is all these failed opportunities to trade impact players for draft picks the minute they knew Brady wasn’t coming back. If they had a handful of young, promising, high-potential draft picks out there, and they were losing, I’d say this is just the process. But instead I see an overwhelming amount of veteran players who have been in NE a long time and are declining quickly, and a lot of highly paid, win-now additions from this offseason. These guys are expected to perform at their peak level

What I don’t see are a lot of fast rising draft picks or young players coming into their own. I’m not saying they have zero young assets, but it’s hard to buy “patience” when other than Mac there isn’t much on the horizon. Even their injury situation is minor compared to other teams.

I agree. What's the long term strategy. There isn't one right now. Why play a lot of 32+ year old guys if the team is actually in a rebuild. Play all the young guys and get some good draft picks, trade away the vets. All the old guys are wasting snaps that young guys can be using to develop. And why sign $300M in free agent contracts if the team is in no place to go for a ring. This looks like a lot of crappy Denver'10 team-building.

Agree 1000%

It can't be lack of player execution at all..

Agholor, Meyers, Bourne with key drops during the game. Yep.. That's coaching..

Someone completely missing Gregory that led to the strip sack of Jones.

The DBs unable to stop Lamb when it mattered most.

Wise not setting the edge that led to Elliot's 21 yard run..

Van Noy deciding to leave his man in coverage in a pathetic attempt to get to Prescott only for Prescott to complete the ball to the man that Van Noy left open. Yep.. I'm SURE the coaches told Van Noy to play like that.
Belichick says that players win games and coaches lose them. In this case, coaches are losing these games with the help of the players.

Gronk/Bennett

Bennett actually didn't get many targets, when he did Gronk was out. The oc only knows how to use 1 TE.

He wasn't here for Gronk/Hernandez. That was bill o'brien.

I do remember the 2012 Superbowl game when I saw Hernandez doing weird stuff like line up in fullback, that's when I realized o'brien was half checked out for his Penn State job. Look at how crappy Hernandez was used in the 2012 Superbowl. Looks a lot like how Jonnu is used right now....

We became the Jete fans this summer when most of the forum celebrated "winning the offseason" and predicting the team was playoff bound before the 1st snap.

It has continued weekly with celebrating moral victories and the constant coulda, woulda, shoulda been 5-1 nonsense.

It's been embarrassing to read some of these posts. Very un-Patriot like. Failure to recognize what is clear and obvious, this is not a good team.
You could always stick dynamite in your modem and delete all ability to use the internet if it bothers you that much

Mac keeps improving from week to week, there is no doubt. He did throw a huge pick but redeemed himself the following drive.

Our o-line is absolute garbage. Nobody can survive behind this line. They can’t stop a nose bleed. Bill needs to figure this out and soon because Mac ends up on a season ending injury. The running backs also need to do better at blocking, especially Stevenson.

The run game works, we just need to stick with it.
We had a hot start in the first qt, but after that the team struck out and didn’t do anything until the 4th QT. Our best receivers are Meyers and Bourne. Harry is non existent. The tight ends were used nicely in the first qt then they totally got written off the playbook. We need to stop being so conservative. At the end of the first half we had the opportunity to drive and at least get a FG…this *****plays aren’t going to win us games. Defense had huge stops in the first half but was gassed in the 2nd half all because our offense couldn’t sustain any drives.

Credit to the cowboys, they are playing well. Dak is playing lights out and that Lamb kid is a winner. Jerry had few misses with his drafts but he has drafted better than BB overall.

Last thing I want to add is that I hope we let McDaniels go. I’d like us to pursue someone like Kellen Moore, as a OC he has been killing it and I think he can help this team our tremendously. He won’t be cheap but I consider him definitely an upgrade to Josh.

We need to consider moving on from Hightower and Van Noy, they have been both useless all year long. This team is not there yet and these veterans salaries are not helping us build a team around the young talent we have. We need to knock it out of the park this upcoming draft if we want to keep up with the bills. The AFC is a tough place to be these days. There are plenty of solid wild card teams such as the browns/bengals/chiefs/chargers/raiders.

Pats hofer right?
I think so, but it’ll take a while as there are a lot of guys who’ll be on the ballot at the same time who’ll be considered more deserving. But he’ll get there; huge piece of the last 3 SB.

You should see what the Cowboys forum is saying about McCarthy...they would kill for BB to be their coach.
They absolutely should be pissed.

Going for it on 4-2 on their own 34 of the opening drive: Zeke gets stuffed on 3rd and 4th. Gave Pats an easy TD.

Then on the 1 & goal, he runs it twice with Zeke down the middle, stuffed again. Then twice more with Prescott. Stuffed. How about trying a different play there coach? Or kicking a FG since you clearly can't make 4th & short with runs.

If not for those two series, the game could've been a blow-out. Then his players continually stalled drives with bone head penalties
ROFLMAO. Mills was hardly the worse player out there. Try Van Noy. Only thing he did right in the game was grabbing the Fumble that Bentley forced.
Aside from allowing 82 yards and 2 TDs, Mills was excellent.

Well, that's teamwork right there, so we have that going for us.

I can’t figure out this team or their identity. They could easily be 1-5 or 4-2. At the end of the day your are what your record says you are.

I’ve been a fan of Wynn but after today he’s just a bum. Should of seen this coming when the first game of pre season Chase Young made him his ***** on the first series.

I don’t know where you go in the off season, Smith and Nelson aren’t cutting it, it’s early but both seem like they aren’t going to pan out. This team needs to build from the inside out after this season is over with, I was envious watching the Dallas offensive lineman giving Dak what seemed like forever to sit back there and survey the field.

and Romo should not be calling cowboys games. Sounds like he was ready to go blow each player after the game was over.

The Cowboys OL is supposed to be good enough to put the ball in the endzone when they have 4 downs to do it.

I liked McCarthy’s aggressiveness on fourth down and goal line. They didn’t work out and maybe the wrong play selection, but those are good calls statistically. I didn’t like the 50 yard FG attempt late in the game on 4th and 1, but maybe that’s from all the short yardage failures earlier.
