It's easy, and only takes a few moments.3rd down defense has been bad for years, the thing that saved them was the offense staying on the field and keeping the defense off the field, that kept scoring down.We used to have a horrible bend don't break defense for years but it was never that bad. Going to be interesting to see if they can drastically improve 3rd down and red zone defense at the least.
Looks like both teams will be airing it out. Bucs because that's their forte, so it'll be strength vs strength (pats secondary). Pats because their running hasn't impressed and they won't be able to against the Bucs front 7.This is NE to compare:
Yds/Game 317.7 (22nd) 282.3 (5th) Rush Yds/Game 91.7 (24th) 122.7 (25th) Pass Yds/Game 226.0 (19th) 159.7 (2nd) Pts/Game 18.0 (26th) 17.0 (6th)
Nah, I don't think so. Bucs will run on first down straight away for no yards on the first drive and then Brady will air it out all game. If MAC airs it out he will throw a bunch of INTs and if they run they will be 3 and out. If TB12 throws a few INTs you never know but I still don't think it's enough. It's a funny feeling being on the other end of a game the other team 'should win'. We took those games for granted for years. We won almost all of them.Looks like both teams will be airing it out. If Arians were a better coach, he would run it more against the Pats which are surprisingly 25? (wow), but he can't help himself w/ risk it no biscuit.
1. Will Mac perform against that weakened secondary?
2. Will Bucs front be able to pressure Mac (they haven't impressed, albeit against better OLs);
3. Will Pats secondary confuse enough to cause TOs?
Bucs shouldn't take this Pats team for granted, even with how terrible they're playing because Bill is going to use every trick to affect Brady. That's why Bucs should run, run, run, but they won't.
I think Pats have a chance, slight, but a chance. This won't be a blow out.
BB doesn't even play so the kinds of tricks that are implied here won't work. TB isn't a rookie. Do the players have tricks or tendencies that might work? Especially the secondary? Maybe. Will it be enough? I doubt it.“Bill will use every trick to affect Brady” come on. He’s been straight out out coached in two of three games already.

Ya, exactly. Unless Brady has some ridiculous tendencies that can be picked up on film and relayed to the players. Remember when Suggs explained how he was going to pick off Manning by a pump fake tell he saw on film. They showed it all on a show one day and it was pretty cool. Sure enough Manning pump faked and tried to manipulate the safety to throw on the boundary and Suggs undercut it for I think a pick 6. Stuff like that maybe? I doubt it though.Remember when the former Giants defensive coach who beat the Pats in the Super Bowl twice was being hyped up as the Brady Killer before the Super Bow against the Chiefs and wow, turns out he can’t do shi.t against Brady without hall of famers on his defensive line.
He's got a long way to go to reach BrINT Favre, who btw is one of the players who cost the Pats a 19-0 season. He threw a game-ending pick vs the Giants in the NFCC. The Pats would have crushed that GB team.He is turning into Favre.
What I don't get is why did SF kick the ball into the end zone with 37 seconds left? Had they forced the Packers to catch the kick I don't think they'd have had enough time to get in FG range.Agree completely. Stafford was good but not great at all. Doesn't mean they can't win it all but we will see. Same thing with GB last night. It's funny I was actually shocked he was able to get them in FG range in 40 seconds. That's how anti-clutch he's been in his career. The jumped up and down like he won the SB. Nice win though I'll give it to them. SF couldn't figure out that Adams needed to be stopped on that drive but they still made the plays and then probably had a parade this morning to celebrate.
Correction below
I'd throw everything at the Bucs and catch them by surprise, Onside kicks, fake kicks, trick plays, everything. That's what the Matt Flynn Packers did IIRC. That team had no business being competitive with the 2010 Pats in Foxboro and yet the Pats needed a once in a lifetime kick return from an offensive lineman to beat them.
I can also see us selling out to stop Brady from having a huge game by any means necessary- kind of like what we did to Peyton Manning a few years ago and it worked. Might not work this time but we'll try. If the Bucs run for 300 yards but Brady only throws for 200 and a TD then hey at least Bill can save face and say Brady didn't destroy us on his own.
With Rodgers yes. Flynn not really. Pats should have thumped them.That Matt Flynn Packers team literally won the Super Bow that year. They were a pretty damn good roster!
