Alex Guerrero (proxy for Tom Brady) takes shot at BB

Maybe we should let him stay. He's too easy.

Nah, poll coming. I'll work to keep it confidential.

Haha, let me guess, you'll take an informal poll from the Bradyites...and then you'll bury the results in some thread so the mods won't see it. can't wait.

What does this have anything to do with me supposedly complaining directly to Ian?

Semantics…he was actively in that thread at the time. Why else would you just announce that idea?

Nope, public poll. Even you'll be allowed to vote. No big lie here.

I noticed talk of the Buccaneers being stacked and a super team seemed to start after they whipped Mahomes ass in the Super Bowl.

This references a prop bet where the Patriots are -130 favorite to win more games than the Bucs, even with Stidham as their QB at the time it was handicapped…and with the assumption Brady would have a training camp.

”Tom left to go to a stacked team”

Here’s another reference:

”Tom went to a super team.“
“Bill had a terrible roster that had no chance to be competitive.”
“The Patriots could not have won a Super Bowl in 2020, even with Brady.”
”Brady only won because of a great supporting cast.”

Let’s all acknowledge the revisionism.

Oh, so a public poll that you'll keep confidential...yeah that makes a lot sense.
People that vote would be confidential so when you go crying to mods, like we all know you will cause you're a snitch, they won't face consequences. I'll take the blame.

Waiting...and put it in the main forum so everyone can vote.

I dunno. At the start of the 2020 season I figured they would be a playoff team and the NEP have a shot at being in the playoffs. TB continued to add to it over the season. Fournette, AB, etc.

I personally felt TB had a bunch of talent for TB12 to work with. Superteam? No.

I thought they'd be a playoff team too I will say this to Belichick defense even though I'm more of the player>coach side, if Belichick had this roster with Brady leading it they'd be millions times better. Bucs are super un disciplined and commit a lot of unforced turnovers

I think people have that opinion because of their skill position players. There are very few receiving corps in league history that match up to what they have.

Bill treats everyone like a rookie fighting for a parking spot. If Brady wanted favorable treatment because he's the GOAT, then he rightly needed to go somewhere else. Tampa is a crap organization that was desperate to win and would do anything to please Brady, including making Alex Guerrero a part of the team. As a manager, favorable treatment to one employee over another is never a good idea.

As a manager, you also need to know which employees are the rainmakers. The true steel. And which are bog standard rusting iron bars, ready to crumble any moment.

Brady was the true steel.

I think it was pretty clear they were stacked at the time. Here are three articles from last offseason calling them a superteam:

The main question at the time was whether they would gel in time during a shortened offseason. Thats where they proved everybody wrong.

Yep and if you dug into the defensive numbers the D was passable. The run D wasn't that bad and the secondary was a concern but they drafted well and shored that unit up. Tom did his homework imo

Winston's turnovers and picks skewed the D's true potential.

What about the OL? There was concerns Tom would be killed going to a new OL. Bucs OL wasn't considered good by anyone. How did Tom get them to gel so fast?

Let's also look at it like this: I have never heard a Patriots player say they had any problem with Tom Brady. Whatever he does with his goofy brand is what he does. But when it comes to his commitment, work ethic, etc. how many former teammates have ever said anything negative? None?
Rodney Harrison, "take off the skirt.......toughen up" :)
