If anyone ever asked the question: who needs the other more, Brady or McDaniels, I do hope that person regains cognitive ability at some point.

Yeah, because it’s a nonsense question.

Brady’s & McDaniels’ relationship isn’t and never was binary; they’re two unique individuals, with different (but closely intersecting) jobs that required a ton of communication and collaboration, in a symbiotic relationship - not a competitive one - working towards a shared goal, and they found tremendous collective success.

Anyone raising/entertaining such a comparison has succumb to the toxic, binary, either/or crap that the internet and modern day media has spawned.

They’re both great at their respective jobs … unless you’re a Chiefs’ fan trolling (or DKF) … then McD sucks.
I haven't trolled at all.

I've engaged in conversations outside the Chiefs.

Tom Brady did it. Watch his Michigan games, early Pats’ games in 2001 … and then watch him sling it in 2007.

Lower body, core, and technique/throwing mechanics can all increase ball velocity.

I think Mac has enough velocity to win right now, but more wouldn’t hurt.
Thx.

I didn't know the technique of it all.

Fair enough. They’re performing collaborative jobs, not competitive ones.

Obviously Brady’s on-field impact has a greater affect on the outcome of games than McD does from the sideline, but that’d be the case for literally any OC to coach Brady.

Mac is so much better than Marc Wilson was. Some of you folks have no idea of what crappy QBs are. We lived thru those dark times. It was tough.
I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry considering I watched most of those games. Don't remember details - just suckage.

Thank you for reply.

I'm wondering if the organization is planning on possibly having McDaniels take over eventually for Belichick?

I ask because talk shows hinted at it being a reason he passed on the Colts job.

He has released quickly on downfield throws multiple times so far. Every pundit that is watching him is surprised at his arm strength. Just because you don't like where a thread is going, doesn't make everyone wrong and you right.
The only pundits raving about Macs arm strength live in your house.

FWIW, I heard Albert Breer on Beetle and Zo this week and he said he was talking to Trent Dilfer who knows all the rookie QB from years of experience with them. He said that Dilfer said what the Jags are doing with Lawrence is the same thing the Colts did Manning's rookie season where they know that the talent around him sucks and just lets him air it out because the talent is already there for Lawrence. He said Dilfer is concerned about Wilson because the Jets are letting all the bad habits Wilson had in college flourish. And he said that what the Pats are doing with Jones is graduate level stuff grooming him to be polished and slowly giving him more.

One disclaimer, Dilfer has always been high on Jones and feels he is the best pure QB in the draft (he even said Jones might throw the best deep ball, not in terms of arm strength obviously) and feels he gets downgraded because there is a bias against pocket passers in the NFL and he believes Jones will be a top QB in the NFL.

BTW, of topic, the stupidest thing I heard on the radio this week was Adam Jones giving Mac Jones crap for making a ridiculously bad throw down the field in the end zone in double coverage when the Jets' defender jumped off sides. Adam Jones never gave Mac Jones credit that maybe he saw the flag and offsides and knew he had a free play and decided to air it out because if it was intercepted the play would have gotten called back. He sent a good three or four minutes trashing Mac about it without ever even thinking that it probably a heads up play by Mac Jones. All he did is go on how the ball was almost intercepted.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the fans. I wanted to see Mac get live game (passing) reps in the red zone when the consequences were relatively low. Worse case scenario he throws a pick and we still win the game. I just don't know how many big leads this team will have this year where we can let Mac see what he can do when things are more compact on that part of the field. We will likely be in many more tight games where the difference between 3 and 7 in the red zone determines whether we win or lose.
Probably've been saving the good stuff for TB. It's prob the only time in his life that BB isn't "on to Cincinnati."

Did I say raving? I said surprised, they were not expecting him to have that much zip. 90% if your problem is how you interpret everything people say through your own bias

I've heard a lot of people before the draft comparing Jones, not to Brady, but to Drew Brees. If we get a young Brees out of this guy we could be in Superbowl contention within the next 3 years or so.

Who is surprised?

Got any names.

Byron Leftwich looks like a genius, hottest HC candidate right now. Bucs offense is on fire and breaking scoring records. Meanwhile the Pats offense looks like the crappy Denver'10 offense.
Byron Leftwich looks like the benefactor of having a GOAT qb and great pieces for Brady to throw to. I get you hate McD, but you're kidding yourself if you think Leftwich is any good.

Can't wait to see how good he really is once he doesnt have Brady, Gronk, AB, Evans, Godwin and Howard to work with.

Top of the HC candidate list after this season. This Bucs offense looks great, innovative, puts up 30 points almost all the time. Byron Leftwich. Fantastic offensive coordinator.

This is very true. I've watched all the rookies so far and Lawrence is basically taking 30 ft Steph Curry shots just airing it out.
