That dump off that clanked off Fournette’s hands and got picked was a joke of an INT. Good thing Fournette seems to have Brady’s trust and had several catches later.

Brady must’ve been fuming at all the drops and turnovers. By the way AB is still a beast and arguably the Bucs best receiver. Been saying it throughout the offseason.

AB never had surgery before, due to some fear or something. He got his knee cleaned up this offseason. You can tell.

Your bias is clear to see.
No, the video is available. The defender has both arms around the receiver, which is why the receiver maneuvers to break free.

So, if you're looking for bias, go look in your mirror.

Jourdan Lewis on if he got pushed off by Chris Godwin on final drive: "Like I said, I can’t call it like that. That’s what the refs saw, no call. I can’t get that momentum swing to them."

Was Chris Godwin’s final catch offensive pass interference? He was asked about it after the Bucs’ win:

So what the db did was a bear hug, and what the receiver did was a maneuver. Got it. Definitely an objective analysis of the play.

I was very impressed with Dak’s pocket discipline.

58 passing attempts with against arguably the best pass rush in the league who pinned their ears back, just one sack. Rarely left the pocket despite Martin being out.

Thought, at casual glance, Bowles was stubbornly sending too many rushers…or maybe could have run a 3-4. The secondary needed more help/bodies and the pass rush wasn’t getting home.

Hey, captain bias, I never claimed that either should have been called a penalty. And, yes, the arm movement was a maneuver made in response to the defender's arm placement. It's a move that's made routinely in the NFL, and the people questioning are arguing that the receiver extended his arm enough in the process that it warranted an OPI call, not that the action itself was novel or not inspired by the defender's actions. Do I really have to start teaching you English here tonight?

Ya, sure. Go ahead and butcher that along with your football analysis.

No way that was OPI/push off. Both of them have hands on each other. Godwin needs to make the catch so he removes both hands from him (which were sort of tied up by the DB). In doing so, it looks like a "push off" only because the DB was already falling backward and even flopped by jerking his head back. A lot of back shoulder catches can look like push offs btw. It's not like Godwin shoved the CB off his spot.

Is it possible that was one of those 50/50 judgment calls that’s going to infuriate one fanbase either way? To me, it didn’t seem obvious either way. Tough call for a ref to decide a game on.

I have a better idea, since you seem not to understand who language works. Let's just walk it through. Calling the defender's action a "bear hug", because he had his arms around both sides of the WR doesn't mean that using a bear hug is not a maneuver. It would be the name of said maneuver. The WR maneuvered in response, using a maneuver that is either legal, or not legal, depending upon the opinion of the official as to whether or not the arm extended too much in the process.

So when you whine about

you do nothing but show that you don't grasp how the language works.

I'd say that the proper resolution was either a no-call or offsetting fouls. Either would have worked. And, at that point in the game, nobody should be surprised that the official went with the no-call.

Wow…only four times in history.

Not bad. Maybe next you could do a segment on word choice and rhetoric and how they relate to your asinine posts.

He looked damn good. I mean top WR and their OT Smith and Collins back are huge as well. I was impressed by both QB Play so early in the season. Brady still has an arm this seams insane for his age

Still got the 4th quarter to watch but this was an entertaining game.

Both. Elite set of WRs (as a combination); roughly average CBs.

Their secondary was never that great, including last year. That said, they were without their SS (Whitehead) and lost their CB1 (Murphy-Bunting) to injury tonight

But they simply don’t have a top CB; they have a handful of competent, but not great ones. I’ve been trying to facilitate a deal of Gilmore for a high pick and promising young player (Edwards perhaps, as a Harmon type) since May.

For some reason, Bill isn’t returning my calls. I think he’s read my Avatar.
They need to trade future picks for a top CB. I'd like to see them swing a deal for Gilmore but wonder if Bill would trade him there.

They're obviously all in on the next 2-3 years and going to have late draft picks. I'm sure they would take a few bad seasons in the future to win another Super Bowl or two.

That's probably because it didn't happen. If that was a bear hug, DBs should just pack up and go home. Almost to that point anyway.
there was no bear hug by the db... thats people seeing what they want to see.
