Their pass-rush still looks strong and they still appear to have a lot of talent in the front-7. I'm not sure how talented their secondary is, but if nothing else they have some athletic DBs.

But yeah, something felt off. Not sure if it was a mental lull, or perhaps some aggregated drop-off due to age/attrition on the margins, but they didn't look comfortable playing pass defense at any point.

My inclination is to give more credit to the Dallas' offense because they have some talented players, but I do think that well-coached teams with some offensive talent will be able to move the ball (specifically through the air) on the Bucs' defense.
It looked like bend don't break. The DBs were >5 yds off the receivers. Dallas only went 1 of 4 in Red Zone.

The officials missed penalties on both teams so that's entirely a wash.
Not even remotely accurate. The officiating errors weighted significantly in the favor of the Cowboys.

Brady is still absolutely dominant. It’s ridiculous that we didn’t just give him the money he wanted. 44 years old and he is playing as great as ever.

The Bucs offense is a well oiled machine if they aren’t dropping passes and fumbling. Wasn’t so impressed with their pass D, probably their one weakness.

against a team that was picking 11th in last year’s draft…it was supposed to be a Bucs blowout tonight.

btw, it looks like you have a bunch of Taliban fighters in your avatar…
W is for Win.

Lol, those are NEP players. You actually have Goondell in yours. Talk about lame.

Not to go down this path again, but financial compensation (meaning, dollar amount on his contract) is way, way down the list of reasons Brady left AFAIK.

As far as NE is concerned., I don't like the idea of playing a rookie QB against Brady. I know it's Mac Jones, who has won pressure-packed games in college before, but still...Dak made some GREAT throws tonight to help keep the game close, which I'm not sure Mac is ready to do just yet.

Justin Hebert did it.

Whatever the reason it was avoidable.

Brady looked great but it is a long season at age 44. Wouldn't over react after 1 game. Hope he can last 17 games but that is not easy.
*Yawn* When has Brady given reason to doubt his durability over the course of a season. The guy has defied age year after year and if tonight is any indication he’ll be doing it again.

Every year we hear this same crap from you Rob Parker. You promised you'd move out of the country if Brady won SB back in 2018. Come on man.

Ken, Brady's INT's were B.S. He looked normal, as he has the past 20+ years. He's got a gifted WR with a ten cent brain in this clown Godwin. I imagine the TB coaching staff will get on this guy's case this week
That dump off that clanked off Fournette’s hands and got picked was a joke of an INT. Good thing Fournette seems to have Brady’s trust and had several catches later.

Brady must’ve been fuming at all the drops and turnovers. By the way AB is still a beast and arguably the Bucs best receiver. Been saying it throughout the offseason.

The people calling for OPI there are conveniently ignoring the bear hug being given by the defender.
That's probably because it didn't happen. If that was a bear hug, DBs should just pack up and go home. Almost to that point anyway.

Yes, it did happen. It was clear to see.

If I am the Bucs, I would be concerned about the defense. The defense was a huge reason why they won in the playoffs last year. Tonight they knew the Cowboys were passing on virtually every down and couldn’t do much to stop them.

It is the first game and this could be an aberration, but is something they should be a little worried about.
Weren't they missing a couple of top defensive backs and then lost a starting CB in the first quarter?

Dallas has 4th and 6 at TB 30-yard line with about 1:30 remaining. TB has only one timeout.

Scenario 1: Go for it on 4th and 6. If successful, clock runs down ensuring Brady does not get ball again.

Scenario 2: Attempt 48-yard field goal, assure Brady gets ball back.

While theoretically the field goal is closer if they convert 4th and, plus possibility of extra yardage, I think they proabably settle around 38-40 yards which doesn’t swing FG probability that much.

So for sake of simplicity, are the chances better you’ll convert 4th and 6 or that your defense will hold up?

if Godwin is a “clown” what does that make JAGaloor?

The Bucs are coming off of a SB winning season, and just won a week one game even though they committed 4 turnovers and 11 penalties, and people here are like "Ehh... they're not that good".

Brady looked unbelievable can’t believe he’s 44. He still has it physically his arm is very sharp.
