I like Deus personally. He adds intelligent pepper to the forum in my opinion. I like that. I messaged him to come back because the forum was getting stale. I'm sure other's did too.

I've been conversing with Deus since I became a member and have usually gotten a useful different perspective out of it.

Anyway personally I'm glad he's back.

Didn't realize he had taken time off. There's multiple people here I find have good opinions including yourself, even if I have disagreed sometimes. Being mature enough to disagree sometimes and still share different takes is what makes this forum so great.

Would be boring if we all thought alike.

This is the same fan base that also chanted for Michael Bishop in similar fashion after he was drafted.

It's pretty simple "grass is greener" syndrome. We collectively don't know what we don't know because we have an extremely small (or even no) sample size from which to try and decide. Additionally, that thing called hope "it cant be worse" especially if the recent or long history is not the best (this was classic Red Sox fandom).

And lastly, some folks just want to stir the pot because controversy is "fun", it sells something, or "they just want to watch the world burn" (or something like that).

I don't dislike anybody here, including Deus. I can see why people like him. I can see why people dislike him. He is a smart football fan and probably knows more about the game than me. However I can also see the opposite spectrum and I do think he can come off as condescending to people. I think if he decided to stop being condescending to people that would probably help his cause. However, doesn't change the fact that he is a pretty smart fan.

Accurate. I can't stand Deus. He's a condescending know it-all.

Most can't stand Andy but the reality is he and I see eye to eye on many football related matters.

I'm sure there are posters who don't like me either.
