Good. Regardless of whether or not Mac is ready and your guy by week 1, he is undoubtedly your best option in 2022 and beyond. Everything should be focuses on getting him ready for the long haul. Mac, you sneeze, Josh sneezes with you. You piss, he helps.

If Mac does win the job, it would be interesting to see Cam take on a Taysom Hill type role. Change of pace, run specific gadget plays. Provide a threat on the goal line that the defense has to at least think about.
I don’t think Mac wins the job outright. Maybe starts the 2nd half of the season if Cam messes up or gets hurt. That being said, unless they cut him, we have Cam for this year, so he could add something different to the offense like you are suggesting.
