The last 3 saves were spectacular IMO, especially Pickford’s save on Jorgihno. Credit to both the goalkeepers for a great shootout.

Penalties suck but it’s a fitting outcome - neither team deserved to lose in regular time.

Although end I expected, not how I expected the shootout to go, with English shooters choking more than dollarumma stopping and Pickford actually keeping it close.

sometimes sucks someone has to lose. Both deserved it.

Still would have liked to see the E Fans tear down the goal posts and carry them thru London. If had won. Haha

That kick by rashford was just awful. The pressure clearly got to him.

Rashford’s penalty was the only really bad take IMO. The other misses were fine takes, just better saves.

England did not do much after that goal. The Italians kept pushing. Right now the Italians have a mental edge on England.

Thank you, Italy! I rarely care about who wins these things, but I so badly wanted England to lose. It was delicious irony that England brought on those two subs at the very end - furthering the crap fast of penalty kicks by using players who weren’t even involved in the actual game. And of course, they both missed.

But nothing was more shocking to me than putting Saka 5th because the game just seemed way, way too big him from the moment he went in. So many miscommunications…didn’t realize he is only 19 but makes sense. They had him kick last? Lol.

England played like cowards all day and then acted like world beaters, with their suddenly ****y attitudes when they went up 2-1 on pks. That was awesome the way Italy came back. Italy was the best team by a wide margin. England clearly wanted to win by running out the clock and winning on a coin flip.

I thought it was a questionable call you’d have your 3-5 penalty shots from three inexperienced players, two who were sitting on the bench for the last three hours and one whose confidence was clearly broken all game.

Ignoring the comments on this post…but just positing it for the video. That is amazing discipline by Italy’s goalie to not flinch, then at the end looks like he basically psyched out the shooter by juking.

Good point grealish is an amazing player as well. The 3-4-3 system idk with so many great offense players it takes you one offensive player away for a defense player. They had grealish Rashford sancho and injured foden on the bench this is insane offense
