Frank Clark busted for driving with Uzi, arrested for felony possession

BTW I live in Alaska. Guns are a way of life up here. Had a black bear in my yard this spring and a grizzly walked through last summer. I live 11 miles out of town. I don't work out in the yard w/o a gun handy.
Alaska recently passed a law that they will not adhere to any federally mandated gun restrictions/buy backs. We'll see how that goes when the Feds withhold funding.

Won an AK-47 in an NRA gun raffle. They are stamped metal POS's.
Traded it for a NIB shotgun (SS Mossberg Mariner) from someone who also had won it in a gun raffle, sold that, and used the money to purchase a vintage Weatherby.
Like I said, guns are a way of life up here.
They are a tool. Nothing more, nothing less.

I also have a friend that is a complete gun nut. He has all the federal permits to sell guns and supressors, and own fully automatic weapons. I hear he has many. The Feds inspect his collection annually. What do 50 caliber rounds go for..$2/ea? He said you can burn through a lot of money in short order shooting them.

Excuse the OT rambling. Procrastinating on finishing the handrail on a new deck.

After Aaron Hernandez I don’t think Patriot fans have any high ground when it comes to having psychopaths on the roster. They handled it pretty well but we still really can’t say much.

Takes a special moron to carry a weapon that has so much condemnation, is illegal without a special federally issued permit in Cala-****ing-fornia.

This up there with the idiot I read about on dumb criminals many years back who was in Alaska. Cops show up to a burglary call at a construction trailer. They see a flashlight moving around inside. One cop keeps an eye out on the burglar from a far, the other looks around for the get away vehicle and potential get away driver. All they find is a ten speed bike leaning up against the trailer.

They look inside and start laughing. They wait for him to get all the way to the door with the 5' tall multi-drawer safe he had struggled getting across the room. Let him open the door and then arrest him.

When asked how he planned on getting the safe offsite and to wherever he planned on taking it. He said I hadn't thought that far ahead.

I don’t know an UZI from and AK47…
But I picture John James Rambo firing one off, mouth agape, with intent to kill.
Great look for Mr. Frank Clark (Hunt)…say that name fast a few times.

The magazines give it away.

AK 47 mags are curved because the round is large 7.62 mm

UZI mag is straight because the round is small 9 mm. Handguns fire 9 mm. Uzis are very easy to conceal under clothing.

Surely it was not fully auto.

He will get a slap on the wrist just like Plaxico Burress did when his Glock went off in a NY nightclub.
The only way to get this clown the justice he deserves is to trick him into going to a school board meeting...only then will he be arrested and incarcerated for THIS outrage

I'm from South Shore originally. Been up here 40 years. Could tell a lot of stories.

Here's one that relates to weapons carrying:
When I first got here there was a Hell's Angels affiliated biker group named The Brothers.
They were drinking in a bar in Healey, AK and decided to hoorah and shoot up the place.
When the smoke cleared, there were 2 dead bikers. The locals were better armed and more proficient.
The Brothers kept a pretty low profile after that.

I had a friend that worked as a corrections officer in a pre-trial facility. Everyone passed through there. He said most inmates were not too bright and did "not too bright" things, which relates to your above anecdote.
He said the absolutely most creepy/remorseless was Robert Hansen. Robert Hansen - Wikipedia
He had a modified "catch and release" thing going.

More recently two young men broke into a church. The pastor shot and killed both. He shot them in the back after they left the premises.
The DA decided to prosecute.
He was acquitted of all charges by a jury of his peers. Sometimes the system works. They should have let it go. Maybe the pastor was doing everyone a favor. There is tweaker activity in the area.
I found out later that they were only stealing food. Obviously it didn't make any difference to the jury.

My friend is married to a native woman. One of the young native men from her village (which you can only get to by boat or plane BTW) picked up a hitch hiker on his way to Anchorage. The hitch hiker asked him "Have you ever been held up (robbed)? I have a gun in my backpack. Pull over and give me your wallet and the keys to your truck."
The native guy responded "I have a .357 revolver right here (he did). You might want to rethink what you just said."
He pulled over and told the hitch hiker to get out.

Reids POS son pleaded not guilty to DUI.

It took months before he was even charged by the KCPD. There has been little to no news coverage regarding his incident. A back room deal will be made by the best Attorney in town and the Reid's lives will go on as if nothing happened.

Terrible

Ha, I was surprised Burress even got 2 years. That was and maybe still is unprecedented. It’s about the only justice to come out vs a athlete short of being a incompetent murderer like Hernandez or Caruth.

“Me play football good. Me above law, me not under same rules as simple fans.” Nothing’s changed in the last 50 years regarding some of these bad apples. Good thing is, there is a lot more good guys than there are bad guys in the nfl that do a lot for their communities, it’s just those rotten guys really stick out and strike a nerve. But it’s not just them. There’s a lot of trash in citigroup and wall street cons that are treated like they are above the law too. It’s the shroud we live in.

The Chiefs have had terrible events around them for years and continually bring in people will issues and they always seem to stay out of the media crosshairs. I don't know if its because they are just fly over state hayseeds or what but they never seem to catch much heat for all their issues.

Jovan Belcher kill his girlfriend then himself at the team facility.

Had another team employee kill his girlfriend and himself.

Drafted Hill knowing he choked and punched his pregnant girlfriend then gave him a lowball deal since they had leverage on him after he broke his kid’s arm and was on the verge of suspension.

Traded for Frank Clark, a domestic abuser, who once threatened a reporter for mentioning the abuse incident. Now arrested again with an Uzi.

Had a backup Dlineman who was an abuser and child beater.

Signed an UDFA DB, Justin Cox, after he was arrested for burglary and domestic assault in college then cut him when he got arrested again.

Kareem Hunt who was on video kicking a woman.

Andy Reid’s kid causing permanent major injuries to a child.

That is just relatively recent stuff. That doesn't even account for holocaust denier and Hitler supporter, Larry Johnson who has numerous arrests for beating, spitting on, and pointing a gun at various women.

Then there is the Hunt family. In 1999 Chiefs co-owner Lamar Hunt Jr. was sued in civil court for allegedly sexually assaulting his mentally disabled sister-in-law two years earlier. The case was settled for around $2 million.

In 2002, Al Hill Jr., H.L. Hunt’s eldest grandson, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault. Hill, a former business partner of his uncle Lamar Hunt Sr., was required to attend 24 weeks of batterer intervention counseling

Basically, all this says is KC record of "achievement" is normal to other NFL teams and seriously looks like choir boy status compared to network news and Hollywood

When you look at other teams in the NFL, you see many instances where the players have much more influence over culture. The Bucs, KC, SEA, Jax, ect... Some of it for the better and some for the worst. Personally I'm not a firm believer that the coach has to be a hard ass. It is BB's style and i doubt he'll change, but everyone in the NFL is an adult (and not a fresh 18 year old adult either) and is being highly paid, particularly on those 2nd contracts.

There is something to be said for letting the players fill a large role of leadership and culture. It's easy to invest in a team if you feel you have control over the ways that investment influences the team to a degree. Usually it is the older players on their 2nd contracts who really control the culture in locker room on those type of teams, which leads to more stability than rookies and 2nd year players who are still maturing into adulthood a tiny bit. Those kind of teams have been crapped on a lot here by fans over the years as we've seen examples of many of them crashing and burning.

However, a number of those succeed as well, they simply didn't have a guy like Brady to keep them competitive once the bill came due on their young talent. In the end I think it's fine letting the players have more of a say and make the process between game time more inclusive and allow them to express themselves. But if you do that you better be confident in your GMs ability to pick 'good apples' if your going to ease up on the reigns, so to speak. Also have a QB whose a respected leader of your team helps a lot, and sometimes can be enough by itself.

BB said you can put a team together, but you can't coach chemistry.
You can see the few like Wilfork, McCourty, Mayo, Brady, Slater that he's willing to pay because of character.
With enough high character players, you can take a chance on a Blount, Talib, etc w/o blowing things up.

I also read somewhere that they will release a player if the team leaders say he has to go or he doesn't fit in.

Reading up on Hernandez, there were a lot of red flags. Temper tantrums, talking close to players with his junk exposed, etc.
Young players were told to avoid him by the veterans.

Bob, I would add that many good apples that play football become bruised apples and in time some turn into bad apples. We are still not fully cognizant of the wide array of effects that concussions have on players but brain injury (which is, in essence, what a concussion is) can lead to personality change.

Even though this just happened it's still old news. As one of the hostesses at the Hilltop Steak House would say, welcome to Kansas City.

I loved the Hilltop! Didn't have as much of a chance to visit there as I would've liked before it closed.

It went downhill fast after it was sold by Frank Giuffrida. The only thing left now is the sign.

I was there many times and had friends who worked there. I also saw Steve Grogan there soon after he lost his job as the starter. He didn't look happy.

I hate victimless crimes, such as crimes of possession. Still, this is the way of our country right now, so yes, very dumb to drive in California with an UZI.

Put me down for a full-auto Glock if you must have a pew-pew-pew in 9mm.

I did a little internet sleuthing and Clark is a convicted felon....

So he should be charged as a felon in possession of a firearm, which is a federal offense, that will almost always get you significant jail time.

He could technically also be charged with a violation of the Lautenberg Amendment, because his domestic violence arrest was plead down to a misdemeanor. So under Lautenberg, it makes it a felon for anyone with a misd dome violence conviction to posess a firearm.

Maybe Biden can call on the AFT to prosecute him

Don't know. But if you find out please let me know. I'm doing it for free right now.

OK, I'll be the one to break it to you. It's here. And our families have all had us committed here as a diversion from full on institutional confinement. Our posts are monitored by experts to ensure that all the humor and hostility is expressed here, and that we aren't in danger of externalizing that to society. Our families are getting a stipend because this costs much less than putting on on The Seventh Floor somewhere.
