Thinking Wynn is injury prone makes you a hater now?
Silly 203. There are many reasons to hate. And « yes », those who rag on Wynn « hate » the fact that he hasn’t been on the field enough for their liking and « hate » BB first round picks. Some (you might be thinking of a few in your head as you read) seem to « hate » everything.

"Cam. we need you to throw the ball too high, so the receivers have to jump to catch it? Can you do that?"

- BB

"Better than anyone else in the NFL coach!"

- Cam
Makes sense with Henry and Smith

Per Reiss on his thoughts of 3 Patriots who have made significant improvements from last year:

Second-year tight end Devin Asiasi looks like a different player, and he is one of several Patriots who stand out when considering the benefits of spring practices for younger players. Wide receiver Isaiah Zuber and Uche are among the others who fall into that category.

Asiasi will be a contributor for us this year and I think will surprise fans. Uche should be a big part of a really good defense and Zuber might be neck and neck with Harry for the final WR spot on the roster.
I’ll believe that when I see it with Asiasi…Hope he is able to get more involved this year….or more than the 5 reps or so he was in there last year :))….

He comes from a version of the E-P at Alabama. He’ll obviously be tasked with doing more at this level since his first read won’t be open nearly as often, but he’s still very familiar with the terminology. It’s a shorter learning curve for him.
It can be certainly an improved over last year in terms of blitz recognition i feel. I have no worries with him doing check downs etc mostly. Playing safe get comfortable, i guess he will take more risks with time moving on
I guess we will have to wait to see him in game situations, but I expect the main criticism of Mac this year to be that he plays "too safe" or conservatively, checks down too often, etc., etc. I know that may sounds crazy for someone that just threw for 4500 yards and 41 TDs, but Nick Saban emphasizes avoiding turnovers over all else, and after having that drilled into him again and again at AL I expect Mac to play it safe early in his career unless the receiver is wide open. Of course, at Alabama the receivers WERE wide open more often than not, that is why he was able to throw so many completions and 41 TDs with only 4 INTs (giving him a pretty remarkable TD to INT ratio).

I also expect him to take more and more risks with time moving on, but I would be surprised if he does that right away as a rookie.

I said it before and I’ll say it again I would of traded him last season.
We really need Joejuan Williams to make a jump. We don’t know what we have with the king of Pop and some young second year players can step up.
Agreed. The time to move Gilmore was last year ….now he’s playing for his next contract which is definitely good for us because he has to play his ass off but we get no compensation when he walks end of year

Not turning the Ball over is definetely huge for our team next year with good defense and run game...I do kind of hope we play a bit more aggresive offensevly and take some shots on PA etc. We have Agholor and Smith who could provide some YAC and bring speed to our positions which we did not really have.

Gilmore for Gallup or Anthony Miller makes some sense.
A receiver with a high ceiling without killing our cap.
That would give us a WR group of Agholar, Bourne, Gunner, Meyers, Miller or Gallup.
Trade Harry for a conditional fifth that could turn to a fourth.
We will be very lucky to get a 6th for Harry, never mind a 5th. In fact I’d take a 7th for him right now and be thrilled we got even that.

Those legs are done. Everything else, as far as his mechanics go, is secondary. That’s where his problems are starting and the shoulder isn’t making life any easier for him. I’d honestly be shocked if Mac isn’t the Week 1 starter.
I would be so incredibly excited. Could you imagine the hype going in the Bucs game

Trolin' (& to a somewhat lesser extent his former glob partner Giardi) is such duplicitous pond scum.

Gilmore has quite literally No leg upon which to stand...He has been paid Every ****ing Penny of the contract on whose line which is dotted he signed.

It's for possible situations as this that I found Bill's unwillingness to bolster the CB position outside of grossly over-paying part-time CB/FS Jalen Mills so ****ing bizarre...Then he drafts a ****ing UDFA-talent ****ing Safety when there were still a couple of CBs with potential still available...
Mills isn't a "part-time player". He's a legitimate Swiss army knife in the secondary who can be on the field all the time. It's very likely that he'll be out there opposite McCourty at Safety with Dugger/Phillips playing that STAR position It's pure ignorance on your part to say otherwise and claim he's over-paid when he's getting a paltry $3M in salary.

Your evaluation of Bledsoe is laughable at best. You show, yet again, you don't actually know how to evaluate talent. You just regurgitate stupid Draft sites that don't have squat for legitimacy.

Smith tweaked his hammy today so both our FA TEs are hurt.

If Bill actually starts Cam this season, he should be fired. Can't. Throw.
No they aren't. You clearly didn't pay attention to the fact that Henry practiced the entire time.

I'm surprised at these comments. Players with contracts get cut with time, and lose future earnings regularly.

Unlike other sports, the NFL is about today, even if there is an existing contract..

Why can't the better players participate in this culture?
Yes. Just IGNORE all the money they get upfront and pretend it doesn't exist. Pretend like teams didn't pay that money out either.. SMH.. That's the problem with your take and the ridiculous claim about players getting cut and "losing future earnings". It's football. Past earnings do not guarantee future results. They NEVER have.

but you have to count it in for, thats basically the contract you signed for, 65M/5years with 40M guaranteed this means you get the signing bonus paid out before you even step a foot on the field, its not less money or something, you got your money already earlier onto your bank account

its not about how much he is making this year, its how much he made during this period he signed the contract for, you can't neglect that you actually received something like 40 M first year but cry that at the end of your contract you get only 7M in the last year? no one cried about geting the signing XXM bonus first year, aren't they?
And any economist will tell you that money up front is worth more than money paid later. If Gilmore had invested that signing bonus wisely, he would have already made hundreds of thousands of additional dollars that were not part of the contract.
