Update: Prince Aaron demands Packers fire GM

I think it's clear that his temper tantrum stems from being made into a lifelong beta **** by Tom Brady. Rodgers reads all the articles to get motivation and find slights; I have no doubt he read all about how this was finally his year, and that he probably believes that Brady truly is a system QB who won because of a superior organization and coach. This year was the ultimate chance for him to show that with the better coach, the objectively better team (prior to SB55 perception change), home field advantage, etc.
It really was all lined up. He was the favorite at home, MVP season, #1 offense. In comes Brady, first year in the conference, wild card, warm weather team, he's 43 and supposedly past his prime and it's 28-10 just a few minutes into the third. LOL. I have said this before but that bomb to Miller to end the half is signature Brady. The perfect dagger to take our all hope for the home team. If you watch the clip of that play, they pan the GB sideline after and Rodgers and the rest of the offense have their head downs like they have been shot. And they were by the GOAT.

And what's funny about what happened the rest of the way is that, even though Evans was responsible for 2 of the 3 Brady interceptions, the media was getting ready to make the G.O.A.T. the goat of that game, and to start making arguments for Rodgers being the "real" G.O.A.T..

Right up to the point where Rodgers peed down his leg again.

Even through the TV, you can really feel the momentum sometimes where a team has blown it and the other team is going to win. SB51 is a great example, but there are many others. The Bucs had all but lost that game. Three interceptions, one being an Evans deflection that should have iced the game.

But Rodgers wouldn’t let it happen.

I love this line: The less you say and do in the public eye, the better. Have you been paying attention the last 15 years? Did the debacle with Brett Favre's exodus teach you nothing?

It's like they refuse to acknowledge or perhaps even realize that the last 15 years have been better with Rodgers than Favre. Rodgers has been the superior QB in every way. The only mistake GB FOs made was not moving on from Favre sooner when he started his retirement act.

I know Favre directly kept the Pats out of the playoffs both in 2002 and 2008 when he lost in week 17 but I don’t care about that. Obviously I know he won against us in Super Bowl 31 but dude was the MVP it made sense. But I will never EVER forgive him for choking away the 2007 NFCCG and allowing that Giants team into the super bowl.

JLC is one the biggest goddamn morons out there, and he’s in Dan Sileo territory for reporting accuracy.

Not only that, but Rodgers' attacks have been personal in nature, so there's no reason the defamed should stay silent.

And what complete, intentionally-dramatic, hero-worshipping, unprofessional garbage of an under-headline.
9 times out of 10 (and the percentage may be even higher than that), La Canfora's work is going to be complete garbage. But reading on the internet is fast and takes no real effort, so it's no real loss to delve into what he's spewing on a random day.

Exactly. The two situations are really very different other than both players being diva jerks. Favre pulled the retirement crap year after year but he never did what Rodgers is doing. GB just finally tired of his act and knew Rodgers was ready.

They drafted Love 2 years ago precisely because Rogers tanked McCarthy's last season and then openly complained about LaFleur's system not giving him enough autonomy at the line. So they drafted his replacement the following season and of course didn't tell him because he is a spoiled brat and would have chirped about it prior to the draft hurting their chances of getting Love where they wanted. No one seems to be understanding that point. GB didn't tell Rodgers about the Love pick not because of some secret ploy. They didn't trust him and this whole situation proved them right which is why Murphy just called Rodgers a "complicated fella" and let's face it that's being nice.

I do think GB has tired of his act the way they did with Favre and will not give him more money. For the sake of PR to the fanbase they will feign that they are still trying to negotiate with him. In reality, they have given Love all the reps and are preparing for him to lead the team this season.

Rodgers seems to have enlisted Jones as his ambassador to them and to the public. I guess he has to do something as very soon he will be paying back his signing bonus and forking over game checks.

Remember Favre did want to come back in the 11th hour but GB told him no and went with Rodgers and then traded Favre to the Jets. But Favres contract was different. To trade Rodgers this year would be cap suicide so I think he sits until March. Should make for a drama filled season with this thread getting hundreds of posts. Lol

Super Bowl appearances

Brett Favre: 2
Aaron Rodgers: 1

Brett Favre was better when he gave a damn but he only really gave a damn for a half decade.
Favre was the best QB in the game from ‘96 and ‘97. ‘98 we started the team decline and he was never the same after the last second loss in SF Wild Card game. Kurt Warner took the torch in ‘99.

Like Rodgers, his teams are usually overmatched in the playoffs and will choke when they actually had a chance.

The Pats losing to the Packers in SB 31 was no mark of shame. Yes I know the stupid kick return but that Packers team was a wagon.
