During the interview Eisen asks him how the zoom calls have been with the 49ers, Lance answered that they've been going well, that he's only done maybe one zoom call with them over the past few weeks, but has had a few phone calls. Throughout the whole interview he's super polished, calm, composed.

Then Eisen asks him about zoom calls with Bill Belichick, and the kid gets a bit flustered, nearly goes into panic mode. Read what you will into it. Clip starts at about 9:30ish

I thought that the kid handled the question quite well, actually....brief hesitation before answering in a very Patriots-like manner. Didn’t take Eisen’s good-natured bait. There was no panic at all.

You didn't think he sounded a bit flustered? With his repeating "I didn't say that, I didn't say I had a zoom with Coach Belichick"? Especially compared to how candid he was about speaking to San Francisco.

I like him.
“What’s Belichick’s sleep score?”
A smart alec would’ve said “BB doesn’t sleep.”
But he handled it well and truly left me wondering if he indeed ever has met/spoke to BB.

Maybe a little flustered for a moment, bc he probably wasn’t expected the question and I’m sure that BB told him to keep quiet about any zoom meeting or phone conversations, but he recovered quickly and handled it like a vet.

I was very impressed by the whole interview - such an intelligent, well-spoken, humble kid. I could definitely see BB being wowed by him. Maybe this is will continue to be the bizarro offseason - first the free agency spending spree and then the drafting of an uber-talented but inexperienced QB with below average accuracy numbers. My gut tells me that this kid is going to be a star if he ends up in a good situation (coaching, in particular). I would be pumped if they took a chance on him.

He fumbled!

I think you're reading the context wrong ? Eisen is playing a joke, he's making up a rumor and Trey shoots it down, Eisen laughs, he tries 3 times in this clip and each time he laughs in an approving way that Trey didn't take the bait.

.

BB does use Shazoom, WebFedEx or use Microfiber Teams

"Trey, when they ask about our meeting, don't tell them chit."

"OK, Coach."
