and here is the thing on that, nobody knows what kind of QB you will get even if you draft one high. I understand the concern of giving up a ton for a guy that nobody knows what they will be and sometimes a guy drafted in the 3rd round turns out the best, but they still need a QB to ever get back to what they were, and I am not saying that giving up that much capital for a QB is the best move, but if you and your scouts think that guy exists, then it is worth it, but there is the rub.

Again. If it's a trade for the first pick I'm fine because unlike Ring 0 and others, I trust BB.

Its really not about when they are picked, its about getting the right guy, not who is mocked the highest. If the 4th guy is the guy you want, then you get him. If its not, then you wait. Again I get your point and it is very understandable. Bill understands value more than most coaches, so he will look for that. If he can get the same production or more production out of the 4th guy then that is who he will take. Its easier to get the 4th guy than the 1st guy. Having watched Bill drafts for many years, I would not bat an eye if he took a safety at 15. lol

I dont mind the lazy “evaluations“ or even the silly candy store QB shoppings - can be a good laugh and are easy to ignore - but the amount of hatred towards current starting QB of your team on a relatively grown ups fan board is just insane. And sad.

I wondered if anybody would post - let alone open a thread (like its normally done for others incl. Stid) - on Cam's work to make himself his best possible QB for the Patriots & Pats fans (and i dont even read much into this sorts of vids). Nope. I guess one's blind hatred (yep every hatred IS blind) is much more important than appreciating the effort & cheering for a player on your team to succeed.

So since this is the only thread trying to offer some support for Pats QB - ill post it here.

Yeah I never for this one. He was nice and boy did he try. Yeah none of that is going to help us win. As fans we naturally want our team to win, I dont need these guys to watch my kids, I do not have to like them. I do not dislike Cam because I never met him, all I know is my team lost more games than they have in 20 years with him at QB, so I am going to want better. This is not personal for me, and I doubt it is for anyone else. I am sure you all know that player that you hated when they played for another team and then when they came here, you like them a lot more. lol Rodney rings a bell.

You're missing my point.

The first gives BB the pick of the litter. He picks who he wants. The fourth? He picks what is left. He's not going to do that.

This year is an unusual year. This draft is more blind than any other year because of Covid. It's a huge gamble. Why do that?

We can argue about it if you want but BB isn't going to do anything crazy like that despite how badly Ring 0 wants to throw away the picks.
