I seriously doubt David Andrews agrees with the second part.More money...? The chance at another ring, which he will Never, Ever have if he stays here...?

Surely. Making a point with RingSurely you must be joking...
Why would thuney want to stay here and suffer through all of the pain and embarrassment of playing in a cam Newton offense?
He can still ball. JPP and Suh balled out in their 30s.Guy turns 31 next week. Not sure what his market will be
It would have to be a lot more than a team with a non dysfunctional offense.
Which you failed miserably at btw.Surely. Making a point with Ring
I agree. But you need to take it up with Bill the GM. Welcome to the party. The days of us being able to cut corners and sign vets on the cheap while still having success are over. He seems to disagree with that notion. Hence... Cam at QB and, if we’re lucky, a QB that’s worth a damn from the draft. Unfortunately, the team won 7 games last year and is pretty much in No Man’s Land at #15 for a top QB in the draft, so they’ll have to trade up in order to make it happen. I’m assuming that guy is Lance, but that’s just a hunch based on the style that BB seems to have a crush on these days.It would have to be a lot more than a team with a non dysfunctional offense.
I mean seriously thuney must have hated life last year. There is nothing more frustrating than being a really good player and watching fail in charge of the huddle.
Whoa, you went from arguing with me about receivers not wanting to come here to play w/ Stid or TBD; to now saying our own FAs will want to bail? Why would thuney want to stay here and suffer through all of the pain and embarrassment of playing in a cam Newton offense?
You just said Thuney should bail.Which you failed miserably at btw.
He woke up and started realizing what the rest of us have been telling him about our GM and the job he’s done recently. Unfortunately, it took the team signing Cam in order to make that happen.Whoa, you went from arguing with me about receivers not wanting to come here to play w/ Stid or TBD; to now saying our own FAs will want to bail?
Why the sudden change?
Because cam Newton sucks.Whoa, you went from arguing with me about receivers not wanting to come here to play w/ Stid or TBD; to now saying our own FAs will want to bail?
Why the sudden change?
I just watched that last night. Great flick.
Yup. I would if I was him. I wouldn’t play a second year in a cam Newton offense. You just said Thuney should bail.
They didn't save Any money Whatsoever because they Still don't have a QB.With the money they just saved at the QB position on Cam, I’d tell Andrews to hit the bricks if he wants to break the bank, and sign Thuney. He has positional flexibility in that he can play G, C (he’d be an improvement on Andrews here), and he’s even played LT in a pinch.
Things can change, man, and maybe BB's going to shiv Cam by signing another QB after loading up this deal with incentives that can't be made from the bench. But the contract they just gave Newton sets up perfectly for bringing in a rookie QB and redshirting him for one season. They didn't save Any money whatsoever because they Still don't have a QB.
As of right now, this team has an enormous amount of available cap space. (more than $65m, 3rd most in the NFL).
As of right now, this team has an even larger amount of projected cap space available for next year (more than $145m, most in the NFL)
So all the griping about a couple of million dollars per year for Andrews is just silliness. This is not a year where the Patriots need to be eating from the dumpster behind McDonald's. This is a year where the Patriots can eat at Tavern-On-The-Green if they want.
maybe this is the year, we should be acquiring better players and upgrade the quality of players on the team.
overspending on a center does not get us where we need to be,
Aside from a few players like Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, etc., the biggest myth in pro sports are athletes wanting to win. That's only lip service to the media. Money 99.9% comes first. Why would thuney want to stay here and suffer through all of the pain and embarrassment of playing in a cam Newton offense?
I agree that's a bad look.Damn, Flores raiding the f*ck out of the Pats roster. I would think Pats players would be suspicious after how the dumped KVN.
Justice League next Thursday!I just watched that last night. Great flick.
