Stidham already back at it

You have been ripping him all year, with no knowledge what so ever. You have no freaking clue.
Lol please show me where? I was calling for him to start for the second half of the year until I gave up in week 16.

A case could be made that Stidham did something to piss off Belichick and wasn't going to get a chance to play. He did it with Butler.
Belichick said Stidham would get his chance. Butler never got a chance. Doubt there is any parallel. Beilchick's public statements when asked about Stidham and Butler are not similar at all. Why do you think a "case could be made"?

Interesting hearing them say on the podcast that the Patriots realized after the Cam Newton experiment this season that "not every QB can work in this system". Weird that it took them 16 games to realize that. Also weird that they thought differently to begin with.

In each case they were sitting behind stiffs but didn't get to play.

How plugged in is Beddard? Being a PA native and resident I honestly don’t know.
Also players may doubt him but Jarrett could take steps to becoming a better leader.
Let me be clear it looks like both my draft binkies Lock and Stidham aren’t long for the NFL.
Young men grow up at different rates. Maybe he takes his leap this year, maybe not. We will see.

He is still here so he has the talent, he is a good person and he is working hard so those three issues are positives. If he needs to mature like the article says, that is something possible. If he sucks, is a douche bag or is lazy, those issues are deal breakers.

Who is "they"?

I find that statement very hard to believe.

It's more like they aren't 100% sure if a Qb can function in their system until they have an opportunity to evaluate the player in it.

I would review Belichick's public responses about the two guys if I was you. Completely different answers. I highly doubt there is any parallel. Butler was a disciplinary issue, Stidham has been a great teammate by all accounts. Maybe Stidham needs to mature? We will see. Butler left, I think Stidham will be here all Spring. Different situations.

The difference is one guy is a Super Bowl hero and our best tackling corner and was benched for who knows what reason. The other guy has yet to demonstrate that he deserves a shot at all.

Bedard was the one making the comments on the podcast. I would think a team can figure that out a lot sooner than 16 games.

If this report is true I wonder who these players were that feel that way.

If it's a team leader like JE11 or White or Slater then Stid is done here.

Stidhim will be here competing. Anything he does to get better is great. He is a 3rd year player. Some people are harsh on young players because their lives suck and they need to channel their misery onto others to feel better about themselves.

Good for Stidhim, I hope he wins the starting job and has a great career so all the haters can eat the crap they've been spewing.
He's a third year player who essentially had no second year thanks to Covid.

Also weird that they would think cam could run the brady offense.

He is such a different QB than other guys they brought in like Matt cassell or Jimmy G who were more pocket passers with a quick release and accurate.

Cam newton is more of a use your running ability to get teams to play you differently and then guys get open with RPO.

Dude looked so jittery when he was out there. You could tell he was a better pure passer than Newton. But his brain was moving at like 100 miles a minute.
