Belichick should trade the 1st rounder for Garoppolo

So I just played around with Miguel's cap tool and realized that we could pretty easily get to almost $90M in cap space by releasing Hightower, Cannon, a few JAGS and altering Gilmore's deal. Lots of financial flexibility for us. BUT...also have some UFA's we probably want to bring back. Guy being the one I least want to lose.

Give em Sony Michel and a fourth-rounder. That’s all for a player who rarely sees the field—other than as a spectator.

Trade NoGood Harry to the Ravens for a mid range pick, like a third.

If Patriots get a third for Harry he is the GOAT GM
At this point we are at a conditional 6th

Unfortunately, no matter what, getting rid of Harry in any way this season will COST the team cap space.

I doubt Bill trades anything for Jimmy. The Niners want a QB in return and we don't have one to give them.

SF and Denver are supposedly the final two for Deshaun Watson.

Maybe Cousins and Matt Ryan are in play. They will need to unload that $23M in cap space.

Harry couldn't fetch us a 7th rounder

Watson to San Fran will make the NFC much more interesting. I can just see large homosexual community in that city squealing with delight whenever he scrambles out of a pocket that isn’t collapsing and somehow throws a TD off his back foot.

Hell no. You’d give a first to pay him 2/50? I’ll take him if he’s cut or for a third or four rounder on a significantly cheaper deal.

This post made no sense whatsoever.

Houston keeps saying they are not trading Watson. Has that changed?

Not that I’ve heard. I was just responding to post citing a rumor that his preferred destinations are Denver and San Fran.

What didn’t make sense about it?
What does fan reaction in SF have anything to do with how many homosexuals live there? Whats more why is it relevant in a post about QB movement on a football board?

Just didn't fit.

Be like someone posting that Watson going to Miami would be awesome because imagine the reaction of all the Cubans everytime he made a completion that was beyond 10 yards. One thing had nothing to do with the other as I read it.

Oh, okay. So the post made perfect sense, and was accurate at every level. A large homosexual community in San Fran leads one to logically conclude that they have a big contingent of homosexual fans. Fans in general squeal whenever their team has a positive outcome. You just got reflexively offended instead of enjoying a bit of lightheartedness. In the future, I’d recommend applying more logic and just a touch of masculinity.

Some of us straight guys in the Bay Area are in negotiations to become homosexuals if the team lands Watson.

But we don’t want to be franchised later on.

Lmao. Ahh right...because anyone who supports gay people, or...even gay (men) themselves couldn't possibly be masculine. I'm legit amused right now because, in fairness, you have no idea how funny you suggesting I be more masculine really is. The beauty of anonymous message boards.

Know who tells other men to be "more masculine?" Dudes who are projecting.

And to be clear...I wasn't offended. I literally couldn't figure out how or why you had to weave in the "homo" comment. Post brought no value to the board.

I'm now very clear on what you are about and what you meant. Thx for that.

Watson to Denver would be awesome. That team is in great shape besides QB.

Imagine a division with Mahomes, Watson, Herbert, and Carr. Jesus.

I would strongly prefer he go NFC. Def don't want him on a competent franchise roster in the AFC. Though...whether Denver in 2021 fits that description is up for debate.

Honestly I think his $$$ far outpaces his expected production and he has shown strong resistance to the idea of restructuring in the past. Also SF's LB aren't fantastic so mayne something there. I'd rather keep Gilmore for another year by giving him an 8M raise and then get the 3rd rounder next year. I think this is Hightower last season either way (if he plays at all) so get what you can for him now.
Hightower may be refreshed and healthy.

What makes you think I don’t support gay people? I’m for their right to marry. My wedding officiant was gay. My wife lived with four gay men in her last semester at FSU. Hell, even gay men would have gotten that joke

You were definitely offended. That’s why you’re choosing to continue this conversation over something that was essentially a throwaway joke on a statistical fact of the city’s population. It’s either that, or you aren’t terribly bright. I don’t think for a moment you’re dumb enough to be unable to figure it out. I mean, I have very little respect for the University of Georgia, as a Florida alum, but come on, now.

I'm now very clear on what you are about and what you meant. Thx for that.

What am I about, exactly? What logical conclusion did you draw about me based on an obvious tongue-in-cheek post? You’re not about to paint me with a broad brush... are you?
