That record is useless now. Occurred when Tampa was going through their growing pains. The just knocked off two of the best teams in the NFC on the road
I assumed it was meaningless for some reason.

With Chiefs O-line banged up, I'm more convinced Tampa is going to win this game. Brady is going to want to come out firing like he did against Green Bay. If the Chiefs d*** like they did against the 9ers last year, Mahomes won't have the luxury of a QB/Coach collapsing on the other side of the field not being able to increase the lead to keep the Chiefs chasing. Mahomes is a facing a 6 time champion who wants more.

One thing that hasn't been discussed is that the Bucs were 1-4 against teams above .500. The Chiefs were undefeated against teams with winning records. In that light, I'm not sure how valuable some of the point differential numbers are. Over half of TB's wins came against teams with 5 or less wins on the season. Seems like that is possibly relevant also when comparing season stats.

They beat New Orleans and GB on the road in the playoffs that 1-4 record is as meaningless as Brady’s record vs the Chiefs

Yes they got beat by the Saints twice, the last time 38-3. How much meaning did the wins for the Saints have once the playoffs started? The Buccs players are wearing the uniforms but they've not the same team that lost to the winning teams during the season. Those winning teams they lost to are home now.

Well...let’s hear your take on it...explain the relevance to the Super Bowl and to season stats.

Good point. No way they would let a big lead slip away with a bunch of 2nd half interceptions. Oh wait.

I hope those kids are OK. And didn't one of Andy's sons die a decade ago from overdose?

Sad news all around.

You're late to the dance. We had plenty of guys spewing the "they haven't beat any playoff teams" or "teams with winning records" mantra along with 'they can't win at night," "in prime time," "against the saints," and "Tommy can't win on the road in the playoffs" crap. Needless to say, they're in the SB, the rest is nonsense.

I wasnt questioning whether they belong. Questioning how meaningful season point differential is with the different quality of wins.

Green Bay had the easiest SOS of all playoff teams. i think the Bucs had one of the hardest of the playoff teams (not sure). It's all irrelevant at this point. I was just comparing PD vs. Total Pts on offense is all.

Let me ask you something. I get why KC are favorites: defending champs, talented team, great coach, great winning record, etc. How do you view this game, odds or whatever of KC winning, expected score, are you concerned at all by the Bucs?

And yet, no one is saying Tampa Bay was the better team this season.

My post was that Kansas City’s offense is not unstoppable and is vastly overrated by a frenzied mob right now. Much like they were vastly underrated by that same mob going into the Buffalo game.

Kansas City’s offense isn’t as good as 2018 or 2019. They’re good. Really good. They’re not on a level where this game will be like the 49ers-Chargers Super Bowl like many in the media are pumping. Their offense is probably a little better overall than TB, NO, and GB but clearly in the same overall class.

Also could be a distraction to them.
If my son was drunk driving and sent some kid to the hospital with life threatening injuries, yeah I’d say I’d have a hard time concentrating on breaking down the Bucs secondary...

Yeah I definitely was disappointed in how Brady played in the 2nd half. 1st one, fine. He took a shot and it didn't work. Second one was more on Evans than Brady. Third was WTF was Brady thinking?

I could see the Chiefs winning the SB, everyone declaring Mahomes the new GOAT because thats what the media does they immediately attach themselves to the next 24/7 money machine and pump it up.. they'll say Brady is a complete and total failure, this was his moment to cement his legacy as GOAT but Mahomes stole it from him, blah blah blah

Then I could see Tampa coming back next year, with an entire season and full offseason under their belt with that offense, and end up back in SB 56 against the Chiefs and knock them off

I'm hoping for the version where Brady knocks them off this year, pays me out really well covering the spread, and then repeats next year against Mahomes for his 8th

Dreams can come true!

A smart bet is Tampa 12:1 to win it all in 2021. Schedule is an absolute joke. Team will better next year. 13/14 win season with #1 seed is likely.

Aye! I got my futures bet in on Tampa a couple months ago, will pay very well if they pull it off!

Have a few other low end bets on some hail mary teams haha, nothing crazy but if they hit.. cha ching!
