What round to take a QB

Jets -- QB
Jaguars -- QB
Bengals -- no (Burrows)
Cowboys -- no (assuming they re-sign Prescott)
Chargers -- no (Herbert)
Eagles -- no (get a WR for Jalen Hurts?)
Panthers -- QB (Bridgewater is a temporary placeholder)
Falcons -- ?? (stuck with Matt Ryan's contract, or reboot now?)
Dolphins (from Houston) -- no
Broncos -- no (probably stick with Drew Lock)
Washington -- ?? (give up on Haskins already?)
Lions -- no (cutting Stafford = $25 mil in dead cap)
Bears -- ?? (an OT may be a better choice)
49ers -- ??

They Patriots may not be able to move far enough up to grab Zach Wilson or Trey Lance, and they have no shot at Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields. If that is the case then they could take Kyle Trask or Mac Jones - unless they decide to wait until 2022 for their QB.

Interesting to see those on the list. The QBs that went in the first round which can be considered a success are still having a carer of about 10 years. It's only the QBs which are going to the HOF that are playing longer than a decade. Another reason we all got spoiled by having Brady, what he did for the Patriots for so long is a once in league history type of player.

Trade Gilmore and a package of picks for where ever you think you can land Trey Lance or Wilson.

Lawrence and fields will be long off the board by the time we pick.

lance, jones, Wilson and trask I have with a third round grade.

when looking over the college landscape, the guy that catches my eye as a guy with pro size, arm strength, athleticism and tons of intangibles is ridder of cincy. I see ridder as jimmy g part 2.

Can we coach him up on decision making and accuracy?

Actually trask could be a good fit in our offense . We could possibly get him in early second round.

I posted earlier but the mist connected Broncos beat writer who has correctly called all their first draft picks in recent years said they are looking to get Mac Jones. I also live in Colorado and they aren’t too high on Lock. This year kinda ended him and Elway is on the hot seat. The Broncos are highly likely to go QB

Also for the Lions Falcons they can draft and sit them a year to absorb the contract and then move to the new guy.

In my estimation the Jets, Jags, Panthers and Broncos are very near certain to pick a QB

Then the Eagles (I think they will kick the tires if they like who is there), Falcons, Lions, Washington, and Bears are possibles.

So 4 extremely likely and 4 possibles.

They have a lot of draft capital, cap dollars and not a lot of needs... move up in the first grab the best.

Don't **** around.
Draftek tells us about the consensus, not where people will actually be picked. Also, they have no trades. Draftek has FIVE quarterbacks in top 15, I agree that we should trade up for one of them.

Unless the Jags have the #1 overall they would be dumb to select another QB, Minshew is good and they have massive holes all over their roster. They need to collect a ton of draft picks and fix their entire roster, the Pats have picks.

Otherwise there's teams like the Chargers, Bengals, Falcons, Panthers, Eagles, Cowboys who don't need a QB and who will have higher draft picks. This is a talent rich draft class for QB's, the Pats don't have to trade up too high, a few picks should do it.
The first pick will be a QB, either picked by the jags (my choice) or by someone else. The "value" at #1 and #2 is at QB. Someone might trade up to get one of the two top QB's in the first two picks.

If the Jags went QB one or two, I'd try to pry Minshew from them for some late picks along with drafting a rookie QB. They need picks to fill out that entire roster.

Minshew is better than anyone on our roster at the moment. But I'd prefer someone with a higher ceiling.

Minshew has a pop gun arm. That is part of his issues in Jacksonville.

19 out of 24 hits on 1st round qbs is pretty impressive. Gives me hope but then again a first round qb would be unprecedented under bb
But it’s not 19 out of 24. It’s 24 left out of many more than that and 19 of the 24 who are still left, he judged as good which is debatable too.

Uh, what? Minshew isn’t good at all and lost his starting job to a late round rookie and now Mike Glennon. They’ll definitely be taking a QB. Hopefully they screw it up though and draft Fields.

No, Minshew got hurt.

He thought he was well enough to come back and play last week and the team thought otherwise, and possibly also really like the idea of tanking at this point because they have no shot at the playoffs.

I'd take him as a bridge guy and draft another.

I live in Jax Beach and get their games every week. He’s been healthy enough to play for two weeks and hasn’t. He on the smaller side for a QB and gets happy feet in the pocket way too quickly which often leads to sacks, strip sacks, or INTs. Add that to his weaker arm, and you have a QB who is not very good. I’d imagine that, up there, you don’t see too many Jags games. I’m assuming you’re going by his raw stats without any context when you call him “good.”

it’s been years since I have seen a Jacksonville game.

Drew Brees and Kyler Murray are smaller sized QB's, Cam is one of the biggest and leads the NFL in tipped passes... tell us how that matters? Yes, Gardner Minshew is a good QB on a very poor team, a team worse than last year and yet his play has actually improved.

It's a team game... I remember a time when Ryan Tannehill "sucked," now he's one of the most accurate QB's in the NFL on a better team and without Adam Gase as his coach... TEAM matters.

Then why has he lost his job even though his head coach’s job is very clearly on the line and needs a win in the worst way? And be honest with me - how many Jags games do you honestly watch? I’m relatively sure they’re never on up there unless they’re playing the Pats and I’m not really sure why anyone outside of Jax would choose one of their games on Sunday Ticket. You’re going off of raw stats, aren’t you? You must be because you, very clearly I might add, have no idea how many games that team has actually been in that have been lost at the end BECAUSE of Minshew in the last two seasons. This team is on my TV every week with either the Pats game, the best game I can find on Sunday Ticket, or the Red Zone channel on the other TV.
