I know. You don't like facts. Troll along.

I love when a relative noob tells a guy whose been on this board for years that he's a troll.

As for your post, it's crap. It's what box score GMs do to justify their ridiculous stance.

Stats without context are meaningless. Comparing Brady in Tampa last year to the Pats offense this year is completely f'in ridiculous and screams a lack of football knowledge on your part.

Up until this recent series of posts, you've been pretty decent. Now, you're being the troll.

Yes this is a different offense...But can you at least concede that if Brady had been QBing for us Monday night instead of Hoyer & Stid that we likely would've won that game?

And you could concede that if your aunt had balls, she'd be your Uncle. Sorry, Captain, but your post is meaningless and has zero bearing on the discussion.

And No. Considering Brady's crappy attitude last season, no, you can't concede we'd have won. Because you don't know if Brady would have been the one out with COVID or not.

Oh yes. So glad. We get to watch the Hoyer and Stidham dumb and dumber show instead. Yipee.

Then leave. Seriously. No one wants to hear this sort of pissing and moaning. FFS.

You're statement makes you sound like a child who had his binkie taken away. Either deal with reality or go. But stop your incessant whining.

Better OL, better RBs, and except for the 2 dropped INTs a better defensive performance.

How do you know things would have been better?? Are you prescient in such that you KNOW that with Brady leading this team we'd have been better. There have been a few statements that have come out that the locker room has become a better atmosphere with Brady being gone.

Do you realize that we had Mason and Cannon in that Game and Ferentz was the center because Karras was out??

I love Onwenu, but he's not better than Mason, yet.

Better RBs? The difference there is Bolden and Michel played last year while Harris and Taylor played this year. Taylor doesn't suit up if Bolden hadn't opted out. Harris just played his first game. To say that they are better is dumb. Especially since the O-line and Offense aren't geared for the Pass Protection the way it was with Brady.

You're also ignoring that last year the Chiefs had Chris Jones while they were without Fenton and Claiborne amongst others.

You need to read more closely. My stats for Brady were from the first 4 games of last year when he was with the Pats. This notion that our offense has been more productive this year without him is patently false.

I read just fine. You, on the other hand, don't have the first clue what you actually POSTED. Your post claimed to compare the offense from last year to this year, but it didn't. You actually compared only Brady's play to that of this years QBs. The reality is that you flat out lied about what you were comparing, Mr. BoxScore GM.

Here is the REALITY.

First four games of 2020:

Passing : 82/128 (64%) 904 yards, 3 TDs, 5 Ints
Rushing : 140 Carries, 719 yards, (5.1YPC), 7 Rushing TDs , ZERO Fumbles

Total offensive plays: 268
Total Yards: 1623
Yards per play: 6.05

First four games of 2019:

Passing: 93/149 (62.4%), 1061 yards, 7 TD, 2 Ints
Rushing: 114 carries, 432 yards (3.79 YPC) 5TD, 2 fumbles

Total Offensive Plays: 263
Total Yards: 1493
Yards per play: 5.67

So, that's 5 more plays accounting for 130 more yards of offense. The running game has improved by over 1 yard per carry. For ALL the Runs. That's being more prolific.

While the team did score 2 TDs less to this point, you're ignoring things like the quality of Opponent the two teams played. They played a mediocre Steelers team. A crappy Miami team. They horrible Jetes and the mediocre Bills. Who have this year's Pats played? OH. Yeah. The Undefeated Seahawks. The Undefeated Chiefs. The Faiders. A much improved Miami team. Again CONTEXT. You should try it.

So please. Stop accusing others of not liking facts. You don't like facts either. Especially ones that you should be using to make your comparison when claiming to "compare offenses". Not just comparing QBs. Which, BTW, it's funny how you ignored Stidham's stuff from last year in your "comparison". I suggest you also use the NFL.com Team stats section for your stats since they have the Pats at 904 yards passing, not 865.

As for your comparing the "offensive rank for points scored" it's a pretty asinine thing particularly when you can't be bothered with context. . Why don't you go back and figure out just how many points were scored LEAGUE WIDE during the 1st 4weeks of last season and compare it to the number of points scored during the 1st 4 weeks of this season. Or better yet. Listen to the educated commentators who have said that there have been more points scored LEAGUE WIDE this year than last.

Um, you were the one that thought I posted Brady's Tampa stats from this year. So you are the one without the clue my friend. And I was waiting for your last paragraph and your lame attempt to justify a 20 ranking drop in points scored. The fact that more points have been scored this year vs last year league wide only underscores how inept the Pats offense has been THIS year compared to last year. And 3 of the 4 defenses we played this year including undefeated Seattle are hot garbage. But again, don't let facts get in the way.

3 of the 4 defenses NE played in the first 4 games
in 2019 were hot garbage too and you still cite those stats.

The only good defense was the Bills. Brady got a 45 passer rating against them in that game. For reference that’s a lower passer rating than Hoyer had on Monday night.

The offense with Cam to date is much more effective than it was with Brady last year. The Patriots are better off without Tom this year and the Bucs are better with him. Brady left by his own choice and Belichick has zero responsibility for it.

It’s not that hard to accept those facts. Or at least it shouldn’t be.

And I corrected myself regarding the Stats you were comparing. But hell. You didn't even have the first f'in clue what you were comparing. You called it the Patriots offense instead of a QB comparison. And it wasn't even a FULL QB comparison. Unlike YOU, I own my mistakes. Something you clearly have never done.

There was no "lame attempt to justify anything". I leave that garbage to BoxScore GMs like yourself who don't have the first f'in clue what you are talking about.

Again, The stats show you're an idiot talking out your ass. The fact that last year's Offense only scored 2 more TDs but also 130 less yards on 5 plays given the CRAP defenses they faced underscores how much better this offense has done compared to last year. I mean, FFS dude. It's there in black and white and you ignored it AGAIN.

You're the one not letting FACTS get in the way of your ASININE statements. League scoring is this year compared to last year. Yet you brush it off as if it's nothing.

No, 3 of the 4 defenses we've faced are "hot garbage". You'd know that if you stfu for a change and actually LOOKED instead of being a complete idiot. Miami -96 points allowed (13) . KC - 70 points allowed (4th) . Seattle - 109 points allowed (17) . LV - 120 (22) . Newsflash. The average allowed is 101 points. OH.. And just remember that the Steelers and Titans have only played 3 games this year, so their numbers are skewed.

Please keep posting your idiocy. It just goes to show YOU are the real troll.

it wasn't about him being treated like Johnny Foxboro here. He wanted to go where HE had the best shot at a 7th ring. If NE was stacked on offense, he would have stayed. It's all about winning for him and less about loyalty to the fans who cheered him for 20 years.
Loyalty? All he wanted from the team was loyalty and he couldn’t get it. Won the MVP in ‘17 and took them to the SB and he couldn’t get a multi year extension, won the SB in ‘18 and couldn’t get a multi year extension. He knew after that he was never gonna get a multi year extension from the team which left it open for Bill to move on from him at any time. That is the exact reason he is a Buc today. To say Brady wasn’t loyal is absurd.

Why do you think he couldn't get a MULTI-YEAR extension from the team at age 40? Please be sure to cite all the other 40+ year old QBs that had any success in the league other than Brady.

Please explain how not wanting to commit 10% of the salary cap over multiple years to a 40+ year old QB who's play has been in decline is bad business. And Brady's play was in decline despite the MVP award. Just compare 2017-2019 to 2015. Attempts down. Completions down. TDs down.

There have been several players who have said that the Lockerroom this year is better than last, attributing it partially to Brady's attitude. From his grousing and poor composure on the sidelines to supposedly freezing out the rookie receivers until he was force to throw to them. I mean, seriously, as bad as some of the Boston reporters are, we had the legit ones talking about how Brady was treating Harry. That's speaks volumes.

From MY point of view, Brady wanted special treatment above and beyond what he'd gotten for the past 15+ years. And while Brady "took less" even the well respected reporters have said that's a misnomer and that Brady still ended up in the top 5% for QBs because of the adjustments the Pats made to his contracts along the way.

So this idea that he left because the Pats weren't LOYAL to him smells as bad as an 18 wheeler hauling cow dung.

Bill is not loyal to anyone who doesn't perform. It's all about how well you play and not about the name on the back of your jersey. Not giving Brady a multi year extension after 2017 was the right call for a 40 year old QB. Bill wanted to take things year by year so that the pats don't get stuck with a QB who is not performing well long term. His numbers were not great in 2018 and even worse in 2019. He's playing better now but against lesser competition.

BTW, Brady STILL has not beaten a super bowl contender since the 2018 super bowl against the Rams. He's been 0-3 since vs Ravens, Chiefs, and Saints.

Why the hand wringing about not giving TFB an extension? I keep seeing arguments that the salary should have been given to him for past accomplishments, rather than based on a reasonable projection for a 40+ year old QB. That's how you wind up like the Jest and Washington, overpaying for past accomplishments. BB made the right move, and we're lucky Cam was around after the fact.

Good heavens. Because he has blown out of the water the "reasonable projection" for a 40 year old QB. He won the MVP at age 40. Won the SB at age 41. Had 24 TDs to 8 picks and 4,000 yards passing with a horrible offense last year. With very good/great weapons this year in Tampa, he is tearing it up. Brady has always been the exemption to what is normal from the time he stepped on the field. The hand wringing is because we have a total dumpster fire situation at QB and were lucky beyond lucky that Newton was still sitting out there on June 28. We have nothing close to competent behind him and most likely will have to see Dumb and Dumber perform Sunday against a pretty formidable Denver D.

Brady had an 88 passer rating last year, tying him with Jacoby Brissett in that category. Against a very easy schedule. That's JAG QB level. 24 TD's is also nothing to get excited about. Maybe 20 years ago it would have been.

Now Brady wanted to leave before last season so it's moot anyway but I doubt Belichick is looking back and wondering what if.

Now suddenly the Denver D is "formidable?" A team is ranked 16th in points allowed? And the only reason we have a "dumpster fire" at QB is because a positive covid test. Newton will be back after the bye. good grief, people are acting like the sky is falling because Tommy is not here.

A positive covid test on Saturday, with the team arriving in KC a few hours before the game and the QBs with no time to prepare.

I wonder what the take would be if Brady stayed here after signing a huge extension - and the team ended up 8-8. Not out of the question at all.

Go back and read the post I quoted from you. You said Brady wasn’t loyal. I know all the reasons Bill didn’t want to extend Brady but that has absolutely nothing at all to do with you saying Brady wasn’t loyal. Is Brady supposed to just sign whatever deal Bill puts in front of him and say thank you sir?

BTW, what is Bill’s record against Super Bowl contenders Ravens, Chiefs, and Seahawks since the 2018 Super Bowl against the Rams? He’s 0 - 4. Works with Bill the same way you did with Brady.

Good lord but the Brady acolytes here are as insufferable as the Tibow nuts that flooded this board when we signed him.
Wasn't the point of the "Gronkaneers" thread being on the main board to keep the Brady talk/handwringing there? Weird how it's starting to spill into other threads now.
