Silver Lining: Damien Harris looks very good

Harris had a TD if he didn't angle out of bounds.

What can't be denied is that this WR corps is good, they get open on the regular and the only thing they struggle with now is finding an accurate QB who can regularly hit them in stride, so far none of the QB's is that including Cam. "Separation" issues seem to be a load of bollocks.
Surely you can't be serious...

Overall, good game from Harris being that it was really his first time playing. But that run at 1:20 left in the first half had me fuming. This was the epitome of what Maroney was back in the day being a pile magnet rather than bouncing it to the outside. Aside from that, I like what I saw so far.

Also, #37 for a RB is awful, he needs to change that.

I have that question too.. was he inactive? Anyone know?
Active but didn't play. The RBs were fine without ever needing a spark, and Gunner took his return job.

yes we are awful drafting offense since 2013

Not offense but wide receiver and tight end. James White came in in 2014 and has been good especially for a 4th round pick. We have drafted plenty of competent offensive linemen.

But it is crazy how different our offense would look if we had drafted the right wide receivers, tight ends and running back in the last couple of years.

I'll take it. 3 backup OLineman, and he somehow almost averaged 6 yards a carry !!!

.
without the one long run it was 3.5 yds a carry and he was never, ever, touched once prior to stepping out of bounds.

With 3 backup linemen compared to the week1 starting OLine. Pretty good in his first NFL game ever as a rb

Not complaining. One game did essentially the same as Michel and everyone seems to want to put down Sony. Harris will have 2 more games to show his value and I will be happy if he outperforms Sony because it’s good for the team.

What's his average when you take out all the short runs that weren't his fault because someone missed their block?

16 carries 59 yards
But that is always the thing with running backs. If they average 2 yards a carry then break one for 80 yards they have a huge ypc but how much did they really help you. If you give them the ball 3 times at the 2 and they score 3 times they they have a 2 ypc, which always leads me to question how meaningful ypc is. I thought Harris did well with a banged up o line and his first game playing. However, he did not do much for most of the game, he was what Sony has been. All of you who just watched the highlights should probably hold back your praise until you get to watch the entire game.
