My argument is fine. Shall I go ahead and drop links for all of the OT threads on the first page - many of which you have not commented on yet? Russian greaseball.

Childish. But you're welcome to go ahead and do some link collecting if it will soothe you.

Now that I've seen the Pats starting QB and backup, I have to wonder how Bill could have let Brady go without a plan at QB. That was a major screwup. With this defense we're only a QB away and we let the best one walk for chump change.

No kidding. So painful to watch. This defense is legit without Hightower and Chung and he let the GOAT walk with no plan.

It was never more apparent that Belichick got caught with his pants down. Really should have just given Brady a two year deal with some sweeteners to make him feel appreciated.

Of course the Patriots are missing their starting center, starting right guard, and starting running back. Playing a game where they found out Saturday they wouldn't have their starting qb. They were kept out of the facility both Saturday and Sunday, so their backup qb's had no practice time. Got up this morning and flew 1/2 way across the country to play the best team in the league, and played with them for 3 quarters. Kind of tough to judge a team based upon that. But boy that huge victory over the 1-3 Broncos sure showed us what the Bucs are made of.

Agree with you here, unless BB was planning on a full on rebuild / Tank for Lawrence for 2020 until Cam fell into his lap.

I realize this is the Bucs forum, but I would expect more in depth analysis at the Gang Green forum.

Your trolling's getting worse as you continue. You should try some other hobby, since you suck at this one.

I guess the Chiefs aren't any good. So far they beat an 0-4 team, It took them overtime to beat a 1 and 3 team and took most of a game to figure out a 2 and 2 team playing with back-up quarterbacks and has only one victory against a team with a winning record.......and even that winning record team has their wins against teams without winning records. I guess we have to conclude using mooskill logic is that there are no good teams...

There's so much crying in that post I'm surprised it didn't cause a short circuit. This is football, not tiddlywinks.

It looks like he didn't have a plan, unless he thought that Stidham was ready and then realized that he wasn't. I don't think tanking is part of Bill's makeup.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would look at last nights game and say there is no way the Patriots will even make it close. They made it close while missing 3/5's of their starting o-line, their starting qb, their starting rb, on a cross country flight the morning of the game after having no prep time after Friday. The qb is a career backup. Stidham was probably going to be the starter pre Cam, but after Cam has been a backup, who was injured during preseason, and of course there were no pre season games. His first meaningful time in game he throws a nice touchdown to Harry, followed by two interceptions, one of which wasn't his fault. The starting running back was playing in his first professional game. Both Stidham and Hoyers first game of the season with no prep and no practice as starters with the first team.

You guys make yourself look like idiots. Then you try to compare a loss with all of those issues to a win over the Broncos, omg you guys are so so sad. Deus you should really hang it up now, I used to respect your posting. Unfortunately, I guess Bill pissed in your cheerios.

Plus I was going to leave you all here to have your own play place, because you are too sad to go to the Bucs forum to speak of your teams greatness, but AM decided to call me out after your amazing comeback victory over the might 1-3 chargers. Of course their DVOA is much greater than the Seahawks and Chiefs.

yeah i dont think tank was the plan either, but maybe he didn’t see 2020 as a real chance of us winning much with or without brady so just clear as much cap space as you can by moving on , even without a solid answer at qb and try to find one in 2021 when theres more space. Or maybe the reports of stidham looking promising last year were correct and he had high hopes back in march, then stidham just regressed this year. Plus, maybe brady was truly fed up and just didn’t want to come back. Either way the plan wasn’t very solid and he got bailed out by other teams somehow letting cam sit unemployed for month

Yep. Most reports said Bill was surprised when Brady told him and Kraft he was leaving for Tampa. I guess Bill thought he would take crap deals forever.

Having a rebuilding year after a QB that has been there 20 years leaves and you have at the time miminal cap space isn't a solid plan, it's the only plan.

I think Bill just thought Brady was so used to taking team deals that sentimentality would win out and he never considered that Brady would value having the carpet rolled out for him so that he could go to a team that was stacked in a way he could excel would be something that could steal him away,

Anyways I really don’t see why we played hardball with his contract. We didn’t improve in the passing game whatsoever and we clearly didn’t have a good alternative to him at QB

It is a real mystery. From all reports, Brady wanted an extension going back to 2017 and was denied. So Bill had 3 offseasons to find the next guy and groom him and yet we only drafted 2 QBs - Etling in the 7th round and Stidham in the 4th. We literally had Brady at ages 40-42 and did not groom anyone behind him. Imagine if Newton did not fall into our lap? We would be 0-4 right now with the Jetes vying for Lawrence.

When you're picking late in the 1st round, it's not smart to expend top draft capital on QBs, esp. when they are not going to play. In fact, I would say that we spent a lot on backups like Garopolo and before him Mallet when we practically knew they were not here for the long term.

Brady is the one who always perceived the backup to be a threat to his stature as a Patriot.

Plus it's hard to find a good QB as it is.

Look around the league. Who is a good QB who came out after pick #60 the last 2 years? How about pick #30?

We could've expended top capital on Josh Rosen, Dwayne Haskins or Mason Rudolph.
