Based on 3 weeks of results, the Bucc’s schedule appears to have softened a bit and the Saints have taken a step or two backwards. Barring significant injuries, the Bucc’s should be fighting for #1 seed.
Tompa Boy chose well
I agree. The schedules are favorable for the Bucs. They get both GB and KC at home and the next time they play the Saints will be at home too. What I like the most about the Bucs is their nasty D. That IMO separates them from the other contenders - GB, Seattle and even San Fran although San Fran is pretty stout too. When you can play defense like that it bodes well for a deep playoff run.

Looks like they'll know the areas that need working on, as they seem pretty clear, both from the tape and from the stats.

My favorite are all the posters in here falling all over themselves to tell the rest of us how much they don't care about Brady and what happens to him yet continually post in here over and over telling us how much they don't care.
I've been saying this since about page 2 of this thread! One poster said he'd leave and never return... before almost singly taking up the next two pages of the thread.

One thing I've noticed about this Buccaneers defense is that they're FAST. They remind me of 2012-2015 Seattle with their speed. Obviously they're no where near the level as that defense, but the speed gives me flashbacks of them. Excited to see if they can keep improving.

I am particularly amazed by how fast their ILB's are... and they're instinctive!

I was talking about the regular season. You are right about the 2018 post-season - he was great during that run.

I agree about the Oline. What a difference when you can run. I hope we stay healthy this year.

I was also referring to regular season. There were games where we put up a ton of offense. It wasn't consistent.

Brady is naturally declining as even he would admit but the question is how much. It is very hard to say how much when Marshall Newhouse is your LT and you only have one WR out there and he's playing with broken ribs.

Besides losing offensive lineman, we also lost some WR talent from earlier years. We look so good against Philly but we also had more WRs including Hogan, Amendola and Cooks. & the year before that we had Mitchell. Somehow we got down to a busted up Edelman in 2019. & he had a whale of a year.

Could Wirfs play LT?

I'm trying to get into the Bucs and Brady - I really am. Bradyites are watching with hearts and stars coming out of their eyes like squealing fangirls watching their favorite pop star but for me I'm just  I started watching yesterday and then changed the channel. Sorry if that offends the Bradyites I know they're hyper sensitive about any perceived criticism of their idol - which this isn't. I just think my team is much more exciting to watch win or lose

You watched. You're not fooling anyone.

What's awesome though is my team hasn't crashed and burned out of the gate without Brady like the Belichick bashers wanted them to and that really annoys them. Tee hee! I mean, to think they had the audacity to demand the rest of us buy into the crap takes that Belichick really is a bad coach without Brady. LMAO. Now they know where to shove those takes.

Nobody wanted the Pats to lose. You just had to invent a narrative or a group of non existent people to support your imbecilic takes.

Anyway I doubt I'll be posting in this topic too much going forward. Maybe if Brady's Bucs start dominating on offense like the Ravens did last year I might tune back in. Even though my team is better off today than they would have been if Brady stayed, I really do wish Brady well. He did play well yesterday from what I saw of him. Though I'd say it was more the kind of "playing well" that is non descript and you'd forget about in a few days

Yeah you watched.

You're not even a good troll.

I agree. It is hard to tell the decline from him just getting burnt out in NE because of the lack of talent and too long in one place. It has been interesting seeing how different both Brady and Bill are since moving on from each other. Brady seems relaxed, happy, has a pep in his step and it is reflective in his play. Bill also seems much more relaxed and having fun in his pressers. I think it was good for both them and also good for the Pats and Tampa.

The Patriots won the Super Bowl the year before last. They also won 12 games last year, with a horribly banged up OL and a mid-level college WR corps, on top of front office and coaching staff issues. So all the fools talking about the team being better off are just being, well, fools.

Not to mention all of the revisionist history going on lately...

It is pretty sad. People just can't enjoy the historic run without creating a villain. I would blame the media as they are ridiculous fan flamers but I never thought I would see so many Pats fans follow suit. And it was a very amicable split too with neither side throwing any mud yet folks feel the need to make stuff up to denigrate the greatest run in football history and tell people who want to still follow Brady and wish him success that somehow they are no longer true fans. Very sad indeed.

Defensive rankings among the likely division leaders:

Bucs

Seahawks

497.3 YPG (32nd)
28.7 PPG (22nd)
3.0 YPC against (3rd)
95.6 passer rating allowed (17th)

Packers

362.0 YPG (14th)
28.3 PPG (21st)
5.5 YPC against (29th)
113.4 passer rating allowed (30th)

Cowboys

404.7 YPG (25th)
32.3 PPG (30th)
3.8 YPC against (10th)
114.1 passer rating allowed (31st)

Bucs front 7 is pretty nasty. It's hard to tell if their secondary is actually good or just a product of QBs who can't throw downfield.

That’s because they’re Patriots fans and they have more rights than Brady fans

let’s remember, none of us have become Tampa Bay fans

I like their safeties. Their CB's are still a ? to me. They're aggressive, but they still lack experience. I think they can still be susceptible with the better receivers and QB's.

I don't understand this post at all. Not being a smart @ss, I really don't understand what you're trying to say.
