Actually it could very easily be the stutter.

Did you see him speak from home last night? Much better in a relaxed environment.

Hey I would have really preferred almost any of the other original Dem candidates. In large part because of Joe's age.

But Joe is still a great option. Not to mention he has the benefit of being liked by seniors and Midwest types.

Of course he is much better at home, that's where he should be as he deals with his dementia.

And no, he's not a "great" option. He's the worst. He is not getting anything from swing-voters or young voters. Both are going for Sanders in overwhelming numbers. And you need both to beat trump.

His only hope is to pick Warren for VP who, outside of Sanders, attracts the most young voters.

Trump isn't going to debate.
He doesn’t have to. Biden’s on the moon half the time. Weakest presidential candidate in years on the Republican side and the best two candidates the Dems could put up against him are a moonbat that likely has dementia and an elderly socialist with a **** heart. Good job, guys.

I mean even if you didn’t have all of that evidence, you can tell that the man doesn’t know what planet he’s on half the time by the look on his face. Trump should be able to thoroughly embarrass him in a debate and easily get under his skin. Sanders has it together at least but his heart would probably explode like the Death Star upon hearing that he officially won the nomination.

No way Sanders is going to get anywhere near the nomination. The DNC is going all out to ****block him. They only want a candidate they can put a leash on.

Senate still hasn't passed the House bill from over the weekend?

Wt-crap? Stop yapping and act already.
Isn’t Rand Paul holding it up? I liked his father but Rand is a weiner and I think he needs to understand that you have to concede some battles especially in the midst of a national emergency where pretty much everyone else is ready to pass the bill. He just looks like an ******* regardless of his intentions.

I would normally resort to polls here, but I don't want to swing this thread to a complete political discussion.

They'd have to re-open that great PatsFans political forum for that. (Hint, hint mods.)

Suffice to say I'm VERY confident looking at November regarding the WH n House. Senate is gonna be tight.

Not sure. Haven't heard a reason for the delay. I just know every day counts.

Don’t agree at all that Trump would embarrass Biden in a debate. Whatever else he is, Biden remains a sharp debater and would perform a hell of a lot better than Hilary could have ever hoped to do.

FYI, Biden is in worse health than Sanders by far. Even Obama's former doctor wasn't very praising of him. Biden has had two aneurysm, has an irregular heartbeat, high cholesterol, had his gallbladder removed, and has had several skin cancer scares.

They just adjusted the "wait and see if I have it" period from 14 days to 7 days here in Colorado. So that is GOOD news. As far as the politics are concerned I reject the tyranny of the (2) party system. Have fun with Biden and Warren. Dear Odin help us!

Biden's lost a few MPH off his fastball for sure but not on board yet with this dementia speculation. He's certainly looked more cogent lately (ST victory speech, last debate against Sanders). The problem for Trump is that he's got no advantage on Biden's main weaknesses (mental acuity, gaffes, nepotism).

In any event, given COVID's implications for the economy Joe could be full Weekend at Bernies by November and still win.

This MIT article has us doing two months of extreme social distancing, followed by one month of somewhat normal life, then the virus coming back, leading to two more months of extreme social distancing, in a perpetual cycle until a vaccine is put in play. So that schedule has us going through that cycle at least 4 times, more likely 6.

We’re not going back to normal

This will in fact destroy the bottom of the economy, right? And we can't just keep printing $1T every two months for another round of helicopter payments.

I've been focused on prepping the house for 2-4 weeks of social distancing. This is overwhelming at this point.

All of MIT Tech Review's corona articles are available for free: Coronavirus
I had this same thought, but only two cycles of social distancing. If MIT is right, then we're going to start asking some uncomfortable questions about how we deal with this.

Regards,
Chris

I’m definitely starting to believe Joe has a real chance at being elected. This crises could not have come at a worse time for Trump. The economy, his big “achievement” is in free fall. He needs to handle the crisis properly and he started off poorly.

If Hillary sobers up and proves she can make it up 3 steps unassisted.
And enough fabric can be located to refresh her Chairman Mao moo moo tent dresses.
And Bill doesn’t get indicted for statutory rape.
And Hillary avoids prosecution for perjury, fraud, or ordering the “suicide” of Epstein.
And her charity has enough left in the till to ensure top Dems stay in line.
And Huma doesn’t let the cat out of the bag about her special relationship with her former boss.
And Uncle Joe doesn’t forget he is supposed to name a running mate .......
The ticket will be what the DNC preordained a year ago: Joe and the Hag
And a modified succession plan will be ready for the courts 48 hours after Joe gets sworn in.
Joe will get a photo op behind the big desk then whisked off for some jello and a car ride to the Amtrak station and back to Maryland to watch Dog Faced Pony Soldiers: Directors Cut

You think that? Rambling Joe has no chance. Dude doesn’t even know where he is half the time. He’s half the candidate Hillary was and he smoked her too.

No chance. Generally in a wartime situation and this is basically that, the incumbent wins quite easily. I’m not naive enough to believe that dude can’t win because that’s what happened with Trump.

Exactly. Plus, we may not even have elections in November. But this won't keep Trump from being elected at all.

As I stated earlier, violence will occur at a level that will make people question how we ever had a civilized society.

BTW, all sports including the NFL are not coming back this year. The large gatherings for sports/concerts will be the last thing to come back into swing.
