The Fake News Media: Under Barack Obama H1N1 Virus U.S. Cases 60.8 Million U.S. deaths 22,469 No panic, media and public remained calm.
@realDonaldTrump
Chinese #Coronavirus U.S. Cases 1,200 U.S. Deaths 37 (All Vulnerable) The media is causing MASS HYSTERIA for NO REASON!
That Tweet is irritating. All the people that were "vulnerable" mattered to someone...that mindset is just so frustrating. Downplaying the number because they were "vulnerable".

Unbelievable.

I mean it kinda just started. Those aren’t final numbers. So this is a weak argument.

In general. Blaming trump for corona virus is madness

This is Fauci’s best-case estimate. Counting from now.

@Ian this thread must be difficult for the mod team. Very important to talk about and politics are bound to come up.

You guys do good work.

I think the point being made was the media didn't provoke any panic so there wasn't any. now they are. and people are hoarding toilet paper.

Some mental health professionals were chatting in a Twitter Biden thread. They say Biden is 12 - 24 months away from having his belt and shoe laces taken away. They see this type of stuff day in and day out.
OK, do you have a link for this or did you just make it up? Meanwhile, here's expert opinion on the mental instability of Orange Clown:

Link: President Donald Trump | Psychology Today

Quoting: "Trump’s manifest grandiosity and disregard for facts, beginning with failure to accept clear evidence about the size of the crowd attending his inauguration, has put mental health professionals in the spotlight from Day One of his presidency. Psychologists and commentators from all ideological camps early converged on a label of narcissistic personality disorder as the condition that 'explains' Trump’s behavior. Among those making this assertion are more than 70,000 mental health professionals who signed a petition warning of Trump's potential dangerousness ... "

Here's the scoop, please think about it before replying: The difficulty here appears to lie in your personal identification with our current president. You are taking criticism of him as condemnation of the conservative ideology and values you hold dear; this is light years from the truth. As I've said several times now, I am not a liberal -- I respect the tenets of conservatism and the Republican party. I have everything AGAINST a phony, incompetent lying bastard selfishly steering us to ruin. I am not "superior" in any way, but I do know objective truth vs. swallowing a bill of goods from someone who's cynically playing his base like a fiddle. If he was at all stable, competent and even a bit selflessly sincere, I'd be pulling for him right now. He isn't. WE deserve much, much better whatever end of the spectrum he/she hails from.

See here's the thing: All of your word salads would actually make sense if your projections were accurate. In none of my posts have I ever stated I think the president is "great leader" I'm pretty neutral to politics in general. I'm not the reason that the left side of things have fallen into this holier than thou ********. Hell, for 35 years I considered myself "liberal", but that word has a permanent perversion attached to it, so I wont identify as one...nor would I ever identify as a republican or conservative. There's requirements like believing in God. I'm agnostic. As I said before, you don't know anything about me, so stop trying to say you do. Trump has done some great things, and some dumbass things. Just like every president ever. O'bama is guilty, Bushes are guilty, Clinton is guilty, Reagan, etc..and the next guy will be guilty too.

Your belittling of people you don't agree with doesn't make you better nor smarter than them, it makes you look like a whiny, pompous ass.

4 or so days ago, Trump said the virus was stopped. Now, he declares national emergency. CNN is "fake news", but you will never hear Trump news get called that by the same people.

Month ago I personally wasn't taking it seriously. However, today I noticed supply shortage was worse. I stocked up on water/toilet paper because there might be none in 4 days.

Time to stock up is now.
The reason there's no toilet paper is every time someone sneezes, 50 people shyt themselves.

Just a warning - this thread is heading in a bad direction. I don't really know how to deal with it at this point but I will say that I don't have a bias and just look at facts. I don't like Trump, but I'm willing to look at both sides in this and I've never really picked a party. I just disagree with what's happening if I don't like it. It doesn't make me better than anyone else, but it does allow me to respect each side and not argue for the sake of being right.

I have one goal in this whole mess. Contain this thing so we can move on with our lives. I've heard the finger-pointing and I've listened to enough people argue about that stuff over the past few weeks. It still doesn't change the fact that we need to do whatever necessary to eliminate this thing. The rest, I'm sure will be argued later. Hopefully, things work themselves out and all of it will be meaningless if as many people as possible avoid the worst.

But seeing people go at each other is a reminder of why I've restricted politics since the political forum was closed. It's just a bad/bad scene.

I'm assuming my cranky attitude stems from the fact I've had 2 days off in the last three weeks. I'm going to bed - hopefully I'll feel better in the morning.

Obviously no one is blaming him for it happening. It’s how he and his administration has handled it thus far, at its most important stage.

You are a real trip -- I actually am laughing out loud. But I also feel embarrassed for you. The answer to your question: travel prohibitions manifest in the country being banned, not at the border of the nation enacting the ban. In other words, prospective travelers from the 26 European countries banned by Trump won't be boarding a U.S.-bound plane. That's how people from Europe normally get here -- by jetliner. I don't know if someone from a banned country can even board a flight to America, but they'd have to be pretty stupid to even try.

Please do yourself a big favor and don't call someone else "dumb" ever again.

You were doing pretty good until that last sentence. All anyone here knows about you is what you share in these threads. Responses are based on that so if you feel misinterpreted, you can specify why and you've done some of that here. As for the last sentence: I'm not in the habit of belittling innocent people but certainly will take on self-important ignorance and hypocrisy when confronted. I never claim to be "holier than thou" or "smarter" than anyone, so your "whiny pompous ass" allegation owes more to whatever insecurities you might be struggling with than anything from my end. Thanks for sharing regardless.

You are arguing with yourself. You keep presenting evidence I haven't try to dispute. Youre so hell bent with Trump hate that if i said the sky was blue you'd probably respond with another things Trump did or didnt do. My point is simple. Wed likely be in the same place with this no matter who was in charge in Decmber and January. I only brought up the travel thing to show that Biden was even more dismissive of the threat than Trump was. He called it hysteria. No one was on top of this. Yes a President should have been but almost everyone didnt expect the **** show we're in now.

With anyone else, the NSA/White House Pandemic Response Team would have still been in place, including field offices in countries that included China. True or false?

With anyone remotely competent, we'd have begun importing testing kits the moment we learned.

The doctors in Seattle who identified the first US patient with a test of their own making, then told CDC and were told to stand down certainly knew we were in trouble.

So yes, I reject your hypothesis, and it's not my hatred for Trump (which I haven't denied for more than 30 years - he's a monster and always has been), but the clear-cut mistakes, then the lies about the mistakes, along with the ridiculous poo-pooing of what the people around him knew was a growing disaster.

but you keep on psychoanalyzing me if your need to bothsider whatabout is pressing, okay?
