It’s a joke. As ridiculous as the hysteria people are displaying by buying a decades worth of toilet paper
The toilet paper is one thing, I still don't know the point of that. But that's beside the point.
The people changing the topic to this being media-driven and using that to downplay this is irritating. Media or no media - and Trump or no Trump - regardless of people's political views, it doesn't change the fact it's an issue that needs to be dealt with and is a bigger deal than some are treating it.
The media has to report it. If they don't, they're not taking it seriously enough. If they report on it constantly, it's overblown. This thing has been so fluid that we're hearing about it constantly...it is what it is. It's essentially a waste of everyone's time focusing on how much is enough when at the end of the day, we all own a remote and can easily turn it off. This isn't Brady's free agency status, this is something we do need to pay attention to.
I understand the younger people aren't concerned (I can't believe at 44 I'm even saying that), I get it. But let's say you do contract it, you don't realize you have it yet, and let's say you're out "living your life because it's not a big deal" when it's eventually 'requested' we all stay home. You interact with some 68-year old person in line at the grocery store (someone's grandmother, someone's great grandparent) you smile, say "hi" and because you're a nice guy, you even let them go before you. But because of that interaction, they end up coming down with it and they pass away.
I understand being smart. I understand the idea of not being panicked. But forget the media. Forget the president. At the end of the day, all of us need to be responsible and think about people other than ourselves. If it ultimately means a couple of weeks at home to try and let the sick people all get tested and treated and hopefully stop this thing so it's gone and doesn't come back, that's the goal we should all be focused on.
