I remember you saying this and I was one of the few that agreed with it. I saw the implosion a mile away starting with trading away Thomas who could’ve at least been a veteran to throw to had injuries piled up or Brown/Gordon didn’t pan out.

Anybody watch the last season of “Ballers”? There was a scene where a team was dealing with a situation where the media pressured them into releasing a player one of the Owners didn’t want released. This was probably what happened with AB.

BB knew full well his WR's and TE's were a dire need last off season yet signed a bunch of crap who didn't make the team/or traded them and drafted only ONE skill position player. He knew AB was a risk. He knew Gordon was a risk to relapse as he let the team down just a year prior. Sanu's 8.1 yards per catch game was pedestrian and people need to stop referring to that game as being "productive". Regardless, trading a 2nd round pick for him and putting him back returning punts when he's not only attempted one in his career but when the team was rail thin at WR was beyond idiotic.

We saw some of it in the Brady documentary, and if the reports are true about him turning down a multi year deal to retire a Patriot, then it’s fairly obvious that there was some fire with that smoke. Why else would a man who’s played 20 yrs and has money for generations suddenly decide that he wanted to end his career somewhere else? Does anyone really still think that this is about money?

Wait a minute, you have a “friend in the know” who says one thing, but there’s also another “friend in the know” who says another. My mind is spinning, nothing makes sense anymore!!!!

We also heard from multiple sources last year Tom and BB got along swimmingly. We also saw them on the NFL 100 and seemingly looked like they got along just fine. Was it window dressing? Maybe. Was it the truth? Also a maybe.

My point is no one is in position to say BB and TB12 are bestest buddies or state there is a lot of acrimony between each other.

NFLN, ESPN, Curran, etc have no freaking clue what the state of their personal relationship is but we have a good idea what their business relationship is which is a player who thinks he deserves something and his boss who doesn't.

Why else would a man who’s played 20 yrs and has money for generations suddenly decide that he wanted to end his career somewhere else?

Because his bosses have determined it for him. They made him an offer and he rejected it. BB has created a culture that isn't for everyone. I personally believe Tom has had enough of that culture (see Gronk)

Does anyone really still think that this is about money?

Its not all about money but its a big part of the equation. You don't think if the NEP offered Tom a 3yr deal with $60m guaranteed he'd find a way to continue to work with BB?
