Brady is back. How do we fix the Pats?

My point is, I don't subscribe to RB's (outside of the top 1%) being game changers. I'd rather shore up TE/OL/WR, especially if Brady is back. I think Michel/White/Burkhead/Harris are a fine depth chart if the rest of the offense improves.

I dont want to go into the 2020 season with "Hope" as the plan again. Hope Sony can return to the player he was in the latter part of his rookie season. Hope that Harris is something. Hope that a 30 year old Burkhead can stay healthy. A younger viable pass receiving RB who is also a serious threat via the run helps the Passing game immensely.

Keeping the old band together would be a mistake. The 16th ranked rushing offense might get worse.

Brady’s back?

What are the contract terms? I must have missed the announcement of a signed deal

TE is the number 1, 2 and 3 most needed position. One all purpose, one blocking and a move TE
WR someone that can actually catch the ball
OL a swing tackle and a RT, a new center if Andrews doesnt come back and a guard
RB if Harris wasn't the answer to the question 'who backs up Sony'

Basically a new offense for Brady to not trust enough to throw to.

Defense a big nose, a SS, and a replacement for Joejuan if he gets punished by the law and league.

Get. Speed. Now.

Get speed, but not at the cost of being gentlemanly. We need good citizens here. I don’t even want these guys to speed when they’re driving.

didn't i read that they were pretty high an damien harris as the season progressed, and despite the redshirt year had really good expectations for him moving forward?

was that just cover for all the healthy scratches, or legit?

1 Biggest FA needs

2 Biggest draft needs

3 Coaching changes or ideas.

4 What to do at Kicker?

if they lock up Brady, then i dont see much money being spent in FA. Would love Dola back. Also need some speed on D...after watching the Chiefs, the speed could not be stopped. TE/DLine/OLine in the draft.

The biggest lack last year was blocking. With regard to WR, Belichick will do his normal thing. Sanu isn't worth $6.5M of cap money, so he will be cut. We will then bring in at least 3 WR's. Folks will be disappointed when we don't sign a $12 AAV receiver, but we never do (and we've done very well indeed.

Health would do a lot: Wynn, Mason, Develin, Andrews.

Cannon may be replaced, but the cap savings in cutting him will provide the resources for a veteran replacement.

I expect to re-sign Karras. I expect everyone will whine when we pay him $10M AAV.

We would have Wynn, Karras, Andrews, Mason, Cannon/fa. We would be hoping for contributions from Froholdt, Cajuste, and this year's draftees. I believe a veteran swing OT is a major need, as it was last year.

We will spend ZERO resources on "improving" our running backs.

He is RFA meaning that it will cost something depending on his tender. They can slap a 1st round tender on him, but also accept less.

Kareem Hunt

A 3rd and Sony for Hunt bam we have a pro bowl RB whole can play all three downs.

trade back with our 1st we all know we’re doing that and draft a TE in the 2nd or 3rd. Sign Greg Olsen to help groom the young TE and save Olsen for the playoffs.

What I don't like about White is that when hes in the game its usually always for passing plays.

Guys like Ekeler and Hunt are dual threat keeping the defense guessing.

Hunt has all pro talent white/Sony shouldn’t even be compared to him

Get a new Nose Tackle.

I think that Shelton just Need some help. Our DE ( Wise jr for Example) and OLB (Hightower) struggled against the run.

A time machine would be handy , I am a little concerned that a few teams have opened a gap even if we do re-tool the offence. It's just a gut feeling. Time will tell around free agency time ?

There's no gap at this point. We just need to get our O back on track. I feel Brady is still lethal with proper tools. It's a joke what he had to work with compared to teams like KC or even 49ers.

Mahomes will get paid and they will lose guys. Chris Jones is in line for a huge deal also. No idea if they will even try or can keep him.

I'm also not sold on Baltimore for next year. Jackson is limited when it comes to passing and he can't continue to keep running.

I just think there’s better options than Shelton, who’s a FA anyways.

Yeah i totally agree. DJ Reader oder Hargrave would be an upgrade. I hope that we can get a better interior DLine pass rush.
I just thought regarding our cap issues and offense/OLB needs that Shelton is solid and would be available for a reasonable price that we try to re sign him.

Very odd that Brady is back just after @Patjew disappeared.

We need to tamper with OBJ Cleveland said they’d keep him if he shows to OTA we need him to act out and force his way here. Cleveland actually saves 14 mill trading him

Or DeAndre Hopkins who was in trade rumors at the deadline
