That's a Pretty Big Loss by the Steelers...

Did you watch that game? Ben is what Cowher and Whisenhut knew he was, a potential liability if given the leeway his ego demands. Tomlin may have begun to realize that last night. He's maddeningly inconsistent because in his heart of hearts he too wants to be a gunslinger. Probably because he isn't smart enough to read defenses consistently and since the face plant he isn't as quick on his feet either. He had some nearly Bledsoe-esque moments in that game last night that really cost them. Sacks, fumbles, strip sack, not to mention the bonehead INTS. Yeah, he can make some plays but he can also kill you on the next series. At halftime Tomlin told Suzy "we have to get the ball out of Ben's hands..." LOL One reason Cowher left is he knew after 2005 and 2006 that would be easier said than done.
Did YOU watch that game? lol you really think Ben is the reason the steelers lost? no way, Ben is the only reason we had a chance. The defense obviously was out of their element last night and the fumble that Ben had wasn't his fault, it was a low snap and as soon as he reached down to pick it up denvers d-line was all over him. Bonehead int's maybe, one was a tip though and those usually dont work out to well. As for him not being quick on his feet? Ben has never had the speed of a Mike Vick or VY, but he sure showed that he can break a tackle and he layed into a defender on a scramble. Ben is a very good QB, he may not be an "elite" QB yet, but his time will come and he certainly isn't the "product " of a good system, the way he plays he could be good in any system. You want to talk a about a fish out of water in the open field talk about your boy Brady, hey I am not knocking him as a passer, who could? but Ben obviously has his number when it comes to making something happen outside the pocket.

3 turnovers kill teams. Ben needs to get over his mental miscues and find that rookie magic he had in 2004.

I didn't consider them elite the year they won one for the thumb. Vanderjerk gave them that ring.
Are you high? the refs almost stole that one away from Pitt, if you didn't see them make that bogus call on the int that Troy made that would have put Indy away, watch the games closer before you make retarted comments like that.

If the D played worth a damn, it wouldn't have mattered, but Ben had a damn good game other than those two int's, but thats what happened and Denver won, but Ben is having his best year as a passer so far and he has come along way since that rookie year.

I'm glad Brady has the presence of mind to stand in the pocket and avoid the rush to make a play downfield. I'm also glad that he has an O-line that can keep him off his backside most of the game. Saying Ben runs better than Brady is like saying "well, he's better at failing to get the job done in the first place."

Yeah but that fumble was 7 points with the D on the sideline. Take that away, and even if all the Steelers do on that drive is punt, Broncos start their final drive down 28-21.
You just can't turn the ball over 3 times, and expect everything to play out as if you didn't.

Brady's a passer. Makes subtle moves in the pocket to avoid the rush, although I've heard that a certain Bears Linebacker has seen Brady get his shine on and make a few jukes.

Hmmm......

lol I am tired of it. Though I am glad Pitt IS flying under the radar, so enjoy the attention while its there.

We all know Pitt has a superior defense to the Pats, if you deny that then you are blind. Offensivley, well the Pats are more dangerous through the air while Pittsburgh is one of the best running, smashmouth teams in the NFL. In years past, the Pats have "had the steelers number" so to speak, but now we are dealing with two different teams. The type of team that the Pats have now is a team that the Steelers matchup well with. Moss and Stallworth arent known for being very physical, but you cannot afford to try and press them in single coverage, while welker is tough and isn't afraid to go over the middle, but he isn't the breakaway threat that Moss and Stallworth are. There is no way the pats run on us, but that didn't seem to bother them against the boys, however the cowboys havent been known for defense this season. Pretty much the key to beating the Pats(which is easier said than done) is to get pressure with your line and force him to try and make plays on the run, which is his achilles heel, and run the ball. Fast willie is just to fast for the Pats over the hill linebacking core.

How'd that all work out for you? Talking smack weeks in advance of a game..... brilliant!

If you watch that fumble, it clearly was not Bens fault. Our O-Line are not world beaters and when he bent down to grab it defenders were on him before he had time to even look up, let alone tuck the ball away. Still congrats to the Broncos, they outplayed us and proved they arent as bad as people thought they were.

What? the whole Pitt has a better defense thing? Not too bad considering that Miami put up 28 on you guys,

Come back when you learn how to break down a game... They scored only 7 when it mattered. That would be 24 less than 31, I believe.

Can you say 'Garbage Points?' - Considering you are a steelers fan I guess its not possible to have knowledge of this,Most Steelers fans I know are brain dead.

No need for personal attacks dude, I am just trying to talk football. I am not saying anything like "the pats are a lousy defense" or anything like that, I am stating my opinion that I think the Steelers defense is better than new england, they have given up less points which in my mind makes them better. Trust me I'm not a troll

Yeah, Denver has a better offense than Miami.

Hmmm..... Scoring per game

Miami: 9th in the NFL at 22.3 ppg
Denver: 26th in the NFL at 17.7 ppg

Denver is a good football team that got off to a rough start and imo they have more offensive talent than the fins

When your team stops losing to teams like Arizona who has no secondary and giving up 31 to Denver who has a putrid offense you can talk about how good that defense is.

So, in other words, you're now just talking out of your ass. Well, given that you were talking shyte before, I guess it's appropriate. By the way, this team that got "off to a rough start" put up a whopping 3 points against San Diego last week and hadn't scored more than 23 (vs. the Raiders) prior to meeting that amazing Steeler defense.

Wow-it's no secret that the Steelers have a suspect secondary, but surprisingly, they had NO pass rush(which has always been their trademark).

The only time they got to Cutler was when he held onto the ball too long. And not to mention too Tom Nalen didn't play as well.
