According to your idiotic logic, if there’s 2:00 left in the game and a team is on defense and needs the ball back, they should just save their timeouts for the offense. After all, it “doesn’t matter,” right??
Maybe someday you’ll learn how completely non-sensical and idiotic that strategy is.
Again. Someone explain to me what the difference between 2 TOs with 1:40 and 3 TOs with 0:57 is. Seriously.
They attempted to move the ball, instead they moved backwards. If they had moved forward they would have had enough timeouts and time to get into scoring range.
57 seconds and three timeouts is more than enough time to do anything unless you don't gain any yardage. But at least then you already have the clock wound for the opponent to not do much either.
Use the TO at 1:40 and get the same negative play on first down and Miami has a shot at getting another shot. Is that so hard to understand ?
There is no net difference between using it before or after IF you actually get a positive play.
