Toughest road ever?

Pats have no shot.

I’m going to assume we win next week and lock up the 2 seed. We likely get the Chiefs at home and if win that it’s the Ravens which will definitely be on the road. That’s two tough games against sensational up and coming next generation QBs Jackson and Mahomes, who have already beaten us this year. The Ravens will have the MVP and a historically good rushing and scoring team. If we get through that there are some great teams in the NFC who could be waiting, like the 49ers who are a very good defensive and running team, the Saints with Brees, or the Seahawks with Wilson who would be the MVP without Lamar.

I can’t remember a tougher road, certainly not since the Peyton Manning era. I think it would be the most storied playoff run of BB and TB12 career if we can pull it off, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect way for TB12 to ride off into the sunset

Post Peyton Manning era- Id say last year was pretty tough. Beating a good Chargers team that shut down Jackson and the Ravens, then going to Arrowhead and beating the Chiefs then holding a high scoring 14-2 Rams offense to 3 points.

We need to make a cut off between pre and post merger. Going only by post mergers this would be a very tough road. KC with a healthy Mahomes has lost only 1 or 2 games this season. Baltimore is playing really well and the NFC team will be tough.

If the Pats win against that field it will be one of the harder roads a team had to take to win. Not the hardest though. The hardest road ever for a team that won is actually pretty obvious.

The 2007 Giants. They got a slightly underrated 9-7 Tampa team in the WC and then got the 13-3 Cowboys the, 13-3 Packers and the 16-0 Patriots. With all but the SB game on the road. It's no contest TBH.

As for if this will be toughest road for the Patriots if they win, you could argue it.

2011 should have been our easiest path.
Tebow - Ravens - 9-7 Giants who also struggled against good teams but well you know....

I would rather face this Kansas City team than the 03 Titans team with McNair.

BUT, I have to say, this Baltimore team at Baltimore is looking tough. In many ways, scarier than the Chiefs team of last year at KC.

San Diego and Indy in 2006 was also more formidable than this, even though the Patriots were totally ripped off in Indy.

Speaking of that 03 Titans team

Still amazed he dropped that. Bennett catches that and the Pats season ends very differently than it did imo. Way more catchable than Welker’s was.

I think the 85 team was the one with the toughest road. New England was the first wild card team to play all 3 games on the road and reach the superbowl.
I remember:
Jets (against the Sack Exchange)
Miami (in a place we NEVER won)
Who was the third team? Oakland? (or were they LA then?)

Not to mention that the prize for winning those games on the road was to play one of the greatest defenses ever in the SB. I hated the Bears that day.

This year would certainly make the list among the hardest. I'll second 2004 and last year. 2013 and 2015 were no picnic against the two Bronco squads.

2004 i think was the toughest overall road. The 2001 rams was probably the toughest team weve had to play though.

Have we ever avenged not one but two regular season losses in the same playoff run?

In 85 I think we avenged 3- we beat every team in the playoffs we lost to in the regular season except the Bears.

It was fcking cold that night!! I was there. Brrrrr

My wife has a problem with me on this. I tell her that the Ravens, Chiefs, SF whomever. may have a better squad than we do this year. She calls me "negative" even though I finish saying that it's not always the best all star squad that wins a game. Games have to be played. The early Pats Dynasty did not have a better group of players than every playoff opponent. Just like the NY Giants...I'll stop there.

If our offense is above the average i have the upmost confidence they’re in the afc championship game. I feel our defense will try and do their best come the playoffs. It’s up to the offense. It seems like McDaniels did a good job of scheming in the last game against the bills. They need more though from guys like sanu and the two rookies. I don’t count dorsett because he has checked out. Also the O line. Have to protect brady. Have to.

Loved those 75 Red Sox too.

For the love of God. Lamar Jackson's record in the playoffs is 0-1. Patrick Mahomes is 1-1. These guys have accomplished precisely nothing so far.

Combined, these two guys are 1-2. Tony Eason was 3-2 in the playoffs.

Please tell your wife I’m sorry that she’s married to such a pain in the ass.

Edit- don’t give me that sad face, I was just kidding @PatsWickedPissah :(
