No, the production guy was filming something, not the scout. The scout was the subject of the production team's documentary.
Apparently he wasn’t filming the scout

Well there is a tape with something on it and apparently another one of the Pats camera guy asking if they could just delete the footage and forget everything ever happened. Soooo not looking good.

According to a "source" from Dianna at ESPN.

I’d rather lose out the rest of the season than hear about another f’ing scandal.

I have better things to do than worry about this.

I'm trying to get caught up, early in the thread it seemed like this was miscommunication and not a big deal but I read last few pages and it seems this is a big deal?
The Patriots are sticking by their story that this was for DYJ. And Schefter’s tweet said the NFL said that too. That said, the other reporters are saying that the Bengals claim the camera got their sidelines. So the questions are, is that true, and if so, was it an innocuous camera crew error (not being informed of protocols), or are the Pats lying and using this as a cover. It’s clear the angle the national media is pushing.

Even the people in this board are now starting to be ridiculous. A bob kraft thing? A **** up? It's nothing at all. Who the hell uses signs? The camera is pointing towards the field and now it's spygate? Sounds pretty much like the first one. This is absolute nonsense. The crew were in the press box with bengals employees give me a break.

The video guy was probably some stupid college intern...

Once again, folks, there are NO SIGNALS TO VIDEO!!!!!!!!!

This is like claiming they were intercepting telegraph code at the Western Union office as the stagecoach was arriving......

.

Well, there goes our first rounder

Apparently he wasn’t filming the scout
Yes, we know that. Filming the coaches on the sideline was part of the b-roll for the documentary on the scout, apparently. o_O

Sounds like the video guy is probably a young’n straight out of college and panicked (if that story is even true). It’s adding up to be a nothing burger but we all know the media will make this into something bigger than it is.

and its time for another round of:

Well, we lost a first rounder because the NFL either didn't know that air pressure is reduced with lowered temperature or pretended not to know. So evidence isn't exactly required for us to get screwed here.

You're jumping to conclusions from hearsay. Could be the photographer filmed the sidelines as part of the documentary to show what the scout looks for. Then he was told he can't do that, got flustered and asked if it was OK that he just delete it.

If he filmed the coach on the field does that even mean anything? This is the bigger issue. It doesn't matter. The fact that people think that even matters is ridiculous. There are no signals.

Then you have quotes like the guy said "can you please delete it and we forget about it" and you post these nuggets and the general population which most have the IQ of a bag of rocks will come to the conclusion that is desired. Nothing else matters least of all common sense.

If Kraft was behind this documentary rather than Belichick, I hope Bill publicity calls him a schmuck.
