Patriots Rumor AB toying with us again

Today was another reason for why we need AB back. Anemic again. The OL held up reasonably well on occasion but our receivers simply aren’t good enough.

I’ve been on the bring AB back bandwagon, but all reporting by the big guns (Schefter, Rapoport, and Glazer) points to this taking up a majority of the rest of the year. Then, even if he’s cleared, I wouldn’t bet that AB won’t be in trouble by February 2020

1) There was a report, only yesterday, which stated that the NFL investigation is not complete, and doesn’t expect to be completed for another few weeks. In other words, he isn’t eligible to play. Still.

2) Since he’s basically admitted to knowing about the pending lawsuit prior to signing here, it solidifies the team’s stance in terms of winning their case and getting a salary cap credit in 2020.

???? They went 3-1 against the Browns, Ravens, Eagles and Cowboys.

The one loss, the DEFENSE was the problem (along with a 14 point swing fumble by Edelman).

They just won in a Nor’easter with 2 of their 5 WRs out.

Furthermore the threatening texts (we can debate if they were actually threatening) were done while an employee of the NEP.

I think its a better than a 50/50 the NEP receive cap relief from ABs deal.

I'm not going to argue for or against AB coming back or not but I was encouraged from what I saw last night from the offense. It was the first time this season that I thought they have enough offensively to compliment the defense against any team in the league and they'll get better. So I disagree with your "anemic" assessment.

This whole AB thing has reminded me of the Terry Glenn saga of 2001.
