AB toying with us again

Dorsett wasn't winning in Indianapolis. He was getting cut in Indianapolis.
AB will be a loser everywhere. Dorsett was in Indy. I won’t go into my feelings about that organisation, because this back n forth would go on forever. Since he’s been here, he’s made several key plays at important times that have helped NE win.

Dorsett & AB are opposite. Dorsett was a first round pick who’s “underachieved” and AB is a low round pick who’s been exceptional on the field.

I prefer Dorsett. He’s a winner. He wants the team to win. He stepped back w/o one peep when Gordon came onboard and then made key plays when an unreliable Gordon was gone. He was key last week.

AB is a loser. He loses. He is obsessed with himself and has no regard for the team. He can burn. He’s a loser and he can keep piling on stats and losing elsewhere.
Antonio Brown is 5x the player that Dorset is, at least. That matters more than good character to the football team.

Also you are full of it when you imply that AB doesn’t care about winning. The dude is a competitor and absolutely wants to win whenever he steps on the field.

AB did plenty of winning in Pittsburgh, and was known as the hardest worker on the team. AB would have been a winner in New England. If you want to bag on AB, the whole winner/loser thing?

That's a loser.

AB cares about himself. He “competes” because he wants the glory. Glad he’s gone, wish he’d never been signed.

Is the fact that Dorset is a nice, humble player and teammate more likely to win us a SB than AB’s other worldly skills on the field?

Brown seems like a pretty ****ty guy but, like, football players aren't being signed to be your friends. They're guys you root for on TV to help your team win to make the start of your week suck a little less.

Not exactly like that, but “yes”. AB eventually finds a way to ruin teams. He FaceTime lives while coach talks. He beats women and then everyone needs to talk about it. He has tantrums.

I understand that he has talent. We won’t agree. Many posters agree with your point of view. A bunch agree with mine. I’m happy NE has Dorsett and I’m happy AB is gone.

AB might be a jerk but the Patriots are fielding a comically awful WR corp this week. What a poorly constructed offense this year playing alongside a potential all time D.

This is a very bad argument. The WR corps is poor this week due to injury. There's no guarantee that had Brown not been cut he wouldn't be on IR now.

Over under on James Whites receptions this week 12?

It’s actually 4.5. It was the same last week and I had the over, but he only caught 4 balls.

Exactly, I don’t understand some of this criticism. AB was repeatedly reported as the hardest worker on that team in Pittsburgh. He was a late round draft and made the most of it through sheer hard work similar to Edelman for us (also known for effort) but at a another level as AB became one of the best in the League. And he’s no one-trick pony, running a wide range of routes. A lot of this is said to driven by his very religious upbringing and strong faith.

Please don’t confuse some errant behaviour with a desire to succeed and the hard work required to do so. AB would have fit into our hardworking culture like a glove.

Wow! What a thread.

The thing that still makes me wonder is why we didn't hear from the national mediots about many of AB's problems until he came here? Then, as if someone turned on a switch, it was all day every day. And as soon as he was gone those stories went away.

It gives the appearance that some other team(s) may have been behind all the uproar in order to weaken the Pats offense, which was definitely better with AB. If that happened it worked with Kraft for sure.

As for Kraft, it does bother me that he had no problem allowing Belichick and Brady to take one for the team even though they did nothing wrong. But for himself he's willing to fight tooth and nail. That defines the word hypocrite.

And finally, if the Pats do end up losing because of their weakened offense, Kraft's meddling will be partially responsible.

Wait... there are people blaming Brown for not “winning” in the post season?! Not much more the dude could do.

In 3 2016 postseason games he put up

18 catches
309 yards
2 TD’s

In 2017 (1 Game) he put up

7 catches
132 yards
2 TD’s

on the best defense in football

and in 2014 (1 game) he put up
9 catches
117 yards

there’s a lot of reasons the Steelers lost in the playoffs. Brown wasn’t one of them

What did he win?

Call it the Colin Kaepernick effect......a better option than quite a few starting QBs in the league, he can’t get the time of day.....why? People don’t like him for non-football related reasons

even though it is only entertainment, I’d rather not root for a team with AB types of @ssholes.....there’s something else missing in your life if not having AB on this team is a problem

People are really trying to make the case that AB wouldn't make this team eons better if he were still here. C'mon, we all know he was a jerk, idiot or whatever else you want to pin on him, so is most NFL players.

There is no way you can look at this anemic WR corps and not understand that they need him. Again, Ask Brady and you know Bill would take him in a heartbeat.

Kraft is literally letting a * possibly prohibit this team from winning another SB, back to hack superbowl.

I think this is an important point for any athlete. These are just people with an extraordinary talent that makes them rich and known. There's good and bad in everyone, but people like to compare sins. "What you did was way worse than what I have done." There is no question AB has real mental issues, but the guy is a baller and really shouldn't have been cut, IMO. I don't like what he did and what he's done, but whoever made the final decision was a little quick on the trigger.

Like maybe a Pats Super Bowl LIV victory?

Is the board going haywire for anyone else?
