Jags QB Conundrum

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, and it feels like people haven’t been discussing it yet.

What on Earth do the Jags do with this situation? Do they stick with Gardner? Do they go back to Foles? And what do they do in the offseason? From a cap perspective, can they move on from Foles if they like Minshew enough? I really can’t imagine they’d ship away Minshew regardless with the cheap contract he’s on. But would they relegate him back to being a backup...

Just an interesting situation.

Easy for me. Minshew. I'm riding w him. Adversity is something I value & I know teams do as well. He's had to scratch & claw for everything. Almost out of football last year to coach! People have been doubting him the entire time & he's just been winning games. I had a 3rd on him & will be rooting for him. He's "Mayfield-lite" w more smarts.

Foles is who he is. A hot & cold QB. I know what I'm getting. You can get lucky & go on stretches but not someone you can build a consistent winner w.

Not sure if Minshew is a franchise QB but he's good enough in every category & again we've seen Foles movie before.

Jaguars fans will convince themselves this is "one of them good problems." It's one of them regular problems.

If I'm the Jaguars I'm trading Foles to the Bears and go with Minshew. He earned it! With his rookie contract you have a nice window of opportunity to make the whole team better and go for it.

They are 1 game behind Houston and play them this week and a gang and a half behind Indy and play them twice.

Contract wise: both are in the first years of four year contracts. Makes it easier... go with St. Nick, backed up by Boogie Nights.

I think “hot start” is grading on a curve.
Minshew hasn’t stepped on his **** but he has been very average. The hype, hysteria, underdog story are all nice but they don’t play the rest of their games based on “good for a rookie” they play them based on winning or losing.
Perhaps minshew has a future, perhaps not, but at this point he is a mediocre nfl QB.

Don’t think they’d value Stidham that much. But if Brady retires, I’d love to have Foles in NE for a year to see how he does. Still think the Eagles made a massive error and chose the wrong guy.
