Do you stick with Minshew, or go back to Foles?

Why? have you never played this game before?

to be beaten out of a starting job by someone who is better than you is one thing, to lose your starting job because you got hurt and replaced by a guy that you beat out before you got hurt is wrong and sends the wrong message to the locker room.

This poster loved 2001 Bledsoe

Or you 'beat out' a guy in training camp or the moment the GM signed you to a large contract but the other guy kept working his ass off then he seizes the opportunity and is playing better than you were before the injury how do you not deserve to lose your job?

But yeah go ahead and be the coach that tells the other 52 that even though the guy who replaced the old QB is helping them win more that you're going to start the old QB because of some empty platitudes.

Would it be for vintage 70's porn?

Drew?

Minshew has clearly won the job in my opinion, although he could use one last good performance this morning to solidify his status. So far, he’s brought them back into competition and has a 13-2 TD/INT ratio. To take it one step further, he’s on a cheap rookie contract and seems to bring a lot of confidence to the entire team.

They should ask Ray Lewis, a man who knows a thing or 2 about average QB’s.

Pretty sure he would kill one of the 2 so that would end the Jags’ dilemma.

They certainly did in Philly and it was obvious to even the most casual observer that they seemed to play harder for Nick than Wentz.....
He's like the Pied Piper. Teammates love the guy. Since Minschew's just a rookie, and Foles is on the books for some serious cash next year (off an injury he should be fully recovered from with no ill effects), it would be shocking if Foles wasn't the starter (unless the Jaguars win the Super Bowl or something). A handful of Jaguars free agents signed there this year exclusively because Nick Foles was the quarterback.

Jags can gain 15 million in cap space if they can trade him post june 1... thats a lot of cheddar for a team with not that much cap space next year... there are a few teams who might be interested... Chicago, Tennessee and Cincinatti come to mind almost immediately ... could probably get a good return for foles...

The Jags should run with Minshew for the rest of the year... Its kind of a no-brainer at this point

Do not underestimate just how much the locker room loves Nick Foles.
I’m not going to expand on why, but just know that I will take your word very seriously on the matter. Is that the main reason underlying one of your earlier posts?

Are you okay? Who hurt you?

Plenty of room in porn for both of them. The Stache and Big D!ck Nick. At QB, not so much room.

It's not like Foles has lost it, he was injured. I go with the veteran if only to build up his trade value on a team that likely isn't making the playoffs.

Yup.

They went from having no serviceable QBs (Bortles) to having two....

I’m not just talking about fleeing the pocket. I’m talking about moving within it. Hence “climbing the pocket” in my OP. Minshew is already better at it than Foles is. He’s a better fit for what the Jags are on offense than Foles is. Foles is the more experienced QB with the better resume, but that isn’t counting for much if he’s on his back. I don’t think it’s a bad problem to have either way. I just think it makes more sense to continue developing Minshew.

I think today's game has resolved this issue, and not in favor of Captain Pornstache.

Foles easy

The poster who doesn't like drama, and doesn't like arguments, is still being dramatic and arguing, I see.

Minshew is the closest thing I've seen to Tom Brady's story. Impossible not to root for the guy.
Very Bradyesque performance by Minshoe today.

Like in Miami in 2001. They buried the ball after that one. And Brady got better. I’m not saying this kid is Brady AT ALL. But rookies have rookie games. Let’s see how he bounces back.
