Didn't some reporter say they cut Gordon to make room for Tomlinson? I am so utterly confused about the dozens of bottom roster moves that seem meaningless, but Gordon disappears for reasons still unknown.

I shouldn’t speculate, but it seems like they didn’t feel too confident about moving forward with Gordon for whatever reason. I saw an article somewhere that suggested tardiness to meetings as a factor. It just doesn’t make sense why you’d cut Josh Gordon when the offense is sputtering as much as it has been.

No one is going to convince me that the end of roster moves warranted cutting Gordon, and they’re certainly not going to do it with the idea that a rookie with 0 snaps is the obvious answer. There had to have been some feeling that he wasn’t fully invested or that he was slipping in some form.

I think it was habitual tardiness. Bill is still chewing out Tom for whatever...but Gordon gets a pass for not being focused? I'm sure it was addressed more then once.

They cut Gordon to make room for Sanu. Tomlinson was just the one they initially thought would go instead.

As for Gordon, he clearly became unreliable. Whether that is due to limited on field production, some issues behind the scenes or both is really neither here nor there.
