Didn't I read somewhere that the NFL made the Patriots throwback uniform harder to do with the strict helmet rules? The Dolphins wore their throwback uniforms with their regular (current) uniform helmets. If the Patriots didn't have such different helmets, they would probably wear the throwbacks more often.

As cool as they were, why would Kraft want to go back to the uniforms that represented losing ways under different ownership? Can you really blame him?

The latest ones represent winning, as they’ve gone to 9 SBs. They also help him make lots of money via licensing agreements with players like Brady who often lead in overall sales. At this point, the jersey is iconic. He’d have to be a moron to change it now.

Sounds like Dallas will wear their throwback inspired color rush jerseys. They outta wear them vs the Giants too in color rush. Guess we’ll know soon if this rumor is true.
